My best pal from New Mexico sent me a Pic of my big ol' baby boy I had to leave with her back out West. I dont often take time to just chat and use my phone for actual communication so, it deeply warms my heart to see him and hear from her, makes me feel like we never skipped a beat. I hope you're enjoying the sunsets for me 🌅
Feels like my old life was worlds away, but moments like these make it all still feel close to home. I cant wait to get back one day, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Thank you for everything you've done to help Penny, you're one of the toughest women I know!❤️ by @psychedelic.chills

These pictures being taken in the same year still weigh heavy in my mind... They represent a stark duality of my own privilege as an American... privileges that have been significantly diminished since, but still fail to hold a candle in comparison to what atrocities have been done unto those overseas and in Palestine... The only comparable flame we can hold is the ones in remembrance and the ones in our hearts that keep us fighting for what’s right...
Looking at these moments reminds me of the heavy contrast in the spaces I get to occupy... I have the freedom to make art, play music/preform, and watch a crowd sing and dance freely... which would get a girl arrested or killed overseas right now... The American experience itself is vast and completely unequal
I think about living off-grid in New Mexico, where even access to well water from the local churches is a privilege bc the land is so undeveloped, and where some kids are still growing up in houses made of pallets with dirt floors, directly over massive water pipelines that bypass these rural communities entirely, pumping water away to feed the wealthy cities and booming AI data centers just because their own neighborhoods contribute less financially... Hell, there's places in Baltimore that are still Burnt Down from the fires in the 80's and the early 2000's! The elite don't favor, those who don't cater to them.
I’ve carried that understanding through so many different spaces... from the massive, historic energy of the Washington DC March for Palestine and Denver’s country-shaking No Kings Day rally, all the way down to making history in a small town like La Junta, where just being proud of your individuality puts a big target on your back... It reminds me of the year the cops were literally called on me there on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, just for playing his speeches while barbecuing outside with my family...
The fact that it’s been four years since that March on Washington and the genocide still continues weighs heavy on my heart every day... We're fighting a fight for more than ourselves, and the plight shouldn't end on our own shore!

I turned 26 today 🙂

It’s my birthday today and I’ve officially come over the cusp and have entered my late 20’s

Lord I’m getting old
😅
Thank you higher power for another year.
every year I get more ambitious, more determined and more in tune with myself, and I am forever grateful to everyone who continues to keep me in their thoughts and show me love and support 🫶🏽 by @psychedelic.chills
