The doors have opened, the stories have begun, and my heart is full.Over the past few days, I have watched people pause in front of fragments of forgotten things like old jewellery, discarded objects, weathered wood, dried flowers, pieces once considered finished, and discover something new within them.Beautiful Waste was born from a fascination with transformation. As an artist, I am continually drawn to the way nature reclaims what we leave behind; how roots break through concrete, how moss softens stone, how life quietly returns to what was once abandoned. This body of work is my own conversation with that process...gathering what has been overlooked and allowing it to bloom again in another form.Thank you to everyone who joined me for the opening. Thank you for your presence, your questions, your reflections, and your willingness to see beauty in the unexpected. Your support has brought these pieces to life in ways I could never have imagined.If you haven't visited yet, there is still time. Today we stood in solidarity with the families and other Kenyans demanding justice for victims of femicide and answers for missing children across Kenya.Every statistic is a person. Every name is a life. Every missing child is a family living with uncertainty. As we wrap up May Mental Health awareness month, we wanted to highlight something that is rarely talked about……The mental struggles that come with being a creative. Behind the great ideas, so many creatives are silently battling things like self doubt , creative blocks and burnouts.
