Turning 30 and here are 30 lessons I learned: 1. Dont keep a positive thought to yourself. 2. No result will come in an argument if guards are up. 3. You will forever be the most important project you’ll ever work on. 4. Being imperfect doesn’t mean being inadequate. 5. Happiness is learning how to live with yourself. 6. Leverage your strength to get what you want. 7. There are “aw that sucks, good luck” people and “aw that sucks, let me see how I can help” people. 8. Dont expect those who betray themselves to be loyal to you. 9. Always try to do the right thing even if it’s not right for you. The world needs more selflessness. 10. Love is the fabric of the universe. 11. How you do something is often times how you do everything. 12. What you want and whats good for you are often times two very different things 13. The opposite of intense love is not intense hate, its absolute indifference. 14. You can only change what you’re aware of. 15. Honest conflict > dishonest harmony 16. The greatest gift you can give someone is the space to be themselves without the threat of you leaving. 17. What consumes your mind controls your life. 18. Virtues aren’t meant to be claimed by words. They’re meant to be earned with actions. 19. You will see a more beautiful world when the world sees a more beautiful you. 20. Figure out your own code of ethics, separate from anyone else’s, and always go by it. 21. Second chance? Maybe. Third chance? Never. 22. Your ability to turn pain into power will ultimately define you. 23. It’s never about who you want to be but who you are. 24. There’s no reality. Only perceptions. 25. You don’t have any real problems in your life. That’s why you create fake ones. To keep your mind busy, occupied and indulged. So you can keep away from boredom. The worst of all demons. I’m not surprised so many of you reacted to my recent stories about the lack of realness and depth on social media. It’s hard to tell people to just ‘put their phones away’ and connect like we used to 20 years ago.
