Honored to share my first interview feature in Atmosphere, in conversation with Atmosphere about Pulse, storytelling, and the human side of creativity in Philadelphia! by @pulse_phl

Rising Up Rocky: @visitpham
The Making of Monuments is one of the most intentional exhibitions I’ve seen in a long time. What moved me most was the curatorial choice to place Rocky not at the center, but in the background. You quite literally have to walk through the history of the real people, fighters, artists, and cultural forces who laid the foundation before Rocky Balboa could ever exist.

What I’ve especially appreciated from the Philadelphia Museum of Art lately is the way they have been highlighting Black artists and Black people in such a beautiful, thoughtful, and soft light—especially Black men. There is care, humanity, tenderness, and depth in the way these stories are being presented, rather than reducing them to struggle alone.

That is what made this exhibition feel so powerful to me. It wasn’t just about Rocky. It was about legacy, visibility, and honoring the people who made so much possible long before they were ever fully recognized. 🥊

One of my biggest takeaways from speaking with John was the reminder that no matter how much older we get, we are always in the process of becoming.

There is no age at which we are expected to have ourselves completely figured out. There are still parts of us to discover, perspectives to challenge, dreams to revisit, and versions of ourselves we haven’t met yet.

I think there’s something beautiful about allowing ourselves that kind of freedom. To understand that growth doesn’t have an expiration date, and that we don’t have to stop evolving simply because we’ve reached a certain point in life.

As someone navigating my own creative journey, conversations like this remind me why I started Pulse. I’m interested in the stories that show us there is so much more to a person than the life they’ve already lived.

Because we’re never really finished becoming. by @pulse_phl

STILL TAKING IT ALL IN. 🥀❤️‍🔥

What started as a vision became a night I’ll never forget.

This past Sunday, we brought Love Loud Lounge: An Evening in Conversation with Jai’Len Josey to life in Philadelphia, and I couldn’t be more grateful for how everything came together.

From the intimate conversations surrounding Serial Romantic to the laughter, vulnerability, genuine connections, and the emotional moment of presenting Jai’Len with her Love Ain’t Shit artwork (@love_dolliemichelle ), the evening reminded me exactly why I fell in love with creating experiences.

A special thank you to Jai’Len Josey and her team for trusting my vision and allowing us to create a space to celebrate her artistry and journey. Watching her experience the love in that room meant everything.

To @ashmacgetsit , thank you for leading such a beautiful conversation. To Uncle Kizzy, thank you for setting the tone and keeping the R&B flowing all night.

To our official spirits partner, Rémy Martin, thank you for believing in this experience and helping us bring something special to life.

And to @pulse_phl and @stumblemusic , thank you for collaborating with me to make this vision a reality.

To everyone who showed up, supported, and poured into this experience, THANK YOU. Your presence made the night what it was.

As a producer, I’ve always believed that the most impactful experiences aren’t just about what people see, but how you make them feel.

Sunday was a reminder of that.

Experiences. People. Culture. Impact.

This is only the beginning. 🥀

There’s a rhythm to style that goes beyond what we wear—it carries history, identity, and intention. Ghost shows that fashion is more than clothes; it’s a reflection of who we are and how we move through the world. “Philly puts a different swag on you. You carry a chip on your shoulder,” he says, and I feel that in the way he creates with confidence, intention, and pride.

“The clothes don’t make the playa—the playa makes the clients.” It’s a reminder that it’s not the tools, the labels, or the medium that give art its power—it’s the person behind it, the heart and intention they put into it, and the connections they create.

His work made me reflect on my own creativity—how I can empower, witness, and honor those around me. Pulse is about celebrating others, yes, but also learning from them, absorbing their insights, and sharing that energy back with the world. Creativity is limitless, culture is essential, and seeing others fully—that’s art.

In honor of Suicide Awareness Month, Pulse presents INVENTORY.

A reflection on what happens when pain accumulates quietly.

Everything takes time, and time takes everything. Give yourself enough

We tend to look for the moment that broke someone, as if there must be one clear reason. But human beings are rarely undone by one thing. It can be the accumulation of disappointment, stress, loneliness, grief, rejection, pressure, shame, and all the things we learn to carry without saying much about them.

This piece is about what happens before the breaking point. The parts people don’t always see. The ways someone can continue showing up while slowly disappearing from their own life.

It is also about the things that keep us here—the people we haven’t met, places we haven’t seen, mornings we haven’t reached, and versions of ourselves we haven’t become yet.

I wrote this from a deeply personal place, but I hope it becomes something bigger than my own experience.

I hope it makes you look at someone you love a little differently.

And I hope, for anyone carrying something quietly, it reminds you that you do not have to carry it alone.

When I created Pulse, I always knew I wanted it to be about more than what people create. I wanted to understand the person behind the work — the moments that shaped them, the lessons they carry, and the parts of their story that most people never get to see.

Meeting @mannymitch_fitness reminded me exactly why this project exists.

From the outside, it’s easy to see the discipline. The consistency. The physical transformation. The person who shows up every day and inspires others to do the same.

But what stood out to me wasn’t just what he built. It was the person he became while building it.

Our conversation reminded me that strength isn’t just about never struggling. It’s about being honest enough to recognize the moments that challenge you, humble enough to learn from them, and intentional enough to use your experiences to create something meaningful for others.

One thing I admired about Manny was the way he spoke about people. The way he spoke about helping others find confidence, the importance of community, and the responsibility that comes with being someone others look up to.

He described himself as a master craftsman — someone who molds and helps shape people. And after sitting with him, that description made so much sense. Because what he’s building goes beyond bodies. He’s helping people reconnect with themselves.

I’m grateful I got the chance to sit across from someone who carries so much discipline, humility, and purpose.

This is Pulse. 🤍

I’ve been thinking a lot about the ways we’re beginning to relate to love differently. Not because I think people have stopped wanting romance, but because I think more of us are questioning what we’re willing to sacrifice for it.

There’s something interesting happening in the way people are choosing solitude, becoming more intentional with dating, reconsidering sex, protecting their peace, and learning that being alone doesn’t necessarily mean being lonely.

Maybe we’re not becoming less romantic. Maybe we’re becoming more honest about what romance should actually feel like.

I wanted to sit with that question for a little while—not to tell anyone what they should want, but to make room for the people who have quietly felt the same shift and never quite knew how to put it into words.

Are we done with romance, or just done settling?

This piece was inspired by something I witnessed in someone else’s story, and it stayed with me. The way they spoke about their family, the sacrifices that had been made for them, and the gratitude they carried for those sacrifices made me think about how often we don’t understand the weight of someone’s love until we’re old enough to look back at it differently.

I think there’s something really beautiful about witnessing that kind of love, too. Even when it hasn’t been your own experience, you can still recognize it. You can learn from it. You can let it change the way you think about family, sacrifice, and what we leave in the people we love.

Maybe that’s one of the quiet gifts of being human—we get to witness pieces of other people’s lives and carry something meaningful from them into our own by @pulse_phl
