What a year, what a car! From a 4th overall best finish in 2025, to topping the stage with a first place season victory for all three competitions; A feat that never felt possible, but turned into a reality in 2026 Thanks to our generous sponsors who support in both making the car, but make it possible to attend all three official SAE events for the second time. by @purduebajaracing
THE BAR HAS BEEN RAISED! 🏆 In 2026, Purdue Baja Racing earned 1st Overall team in the Nation! History was made, with team firsts earned at every competition this year. It has been an amazing season and we couldn’t be prouder of how the late nights in the computer lab, early mornings at testing, and countless hours of work have paid off. Thank you to all our sponsors and family for your support! And a huge thanks to all of the alumni that have helped us build to this point! After finishing fourth in the world last year, @purduebajaracing set its sights on the podium — and got there. The team's off-road car, entirely designed and built by students, took first place in Oregon this spring, the best finish in the program's history. Back from Baja SAE Rochester with a result we're proud of: 5th overall and first ever 1st 🥇 in design. Only a few points separated the amazing top teams and it was fun to battle it out. After an early failure in endurance, we climbed back from 58th to 6th 🤯 Many new firsts from the team as well including second place finishes in both cost and the business event, solidifying a first overall static score! @purdue.me I think we are going to need a new trophy case! See all the teams in Ohio, one more event with this amazing car and team ❤️ And one more thanks to out new and continued sponsors and alumni, providing the resources and the lessons learned to continuously improve 💪 #saeuniversityprograms #bajasae by @purduebajaracing
