As the travel itch sets in this time of year, everyone starts dreaming of their perfect getaway. While some flock to the beach, others know there is absolutely nothing like the magic of a classic American lake day.

We are so excited to share a peek inside this gorgeous’ #family compound designed by @putney.interiors , situated right on the water at Lake Winnipesaukei In New Hampshire.

Spanning 2.5 stunning acres, this unique property is affectionately known as “Barber Pole Point.”

💈 The name is a nod to a long-ago resident who was a barber—and if you walk down to the end of the dock, you’ll find an old-fashioned barber pole standing tall as a beautiful homage to the history of the land.

Inside the residence and its cottages, the interior design embraces a timeless, traditional aesthetic . We styled these spaces to feel elevated yet deeply personal, seamlessly incorporating the family’s cherished heirlooms—from ancestral paintings to stamped silver—ensuring every corner tells a meaningful story.
