things my mama believed I could do, so I did it
💕 finish high school & all 3 degrees regardless of the amount of kids I had or my age 🙃
💕 be the best mama , and be great at it 🥰
💕 expect me to do right by ppl - and this I do
💕 believed in my business, and was my second investor ( my husband was my first )
💕 believed in my second business and although she couldn’t physically be there like she was for the first - the support never wavered.
💕 believed in me getting my oldest son, who has a disability to finish high school and go to college… now she didn’t get to see him graduate- but we are ALMOST there and that’s exactly what’s happening.

🕊️ I’m not going to speak sadness , bc I have so much to be grateful about. I hate she’s not here, but she left me with the ability and the believe that I can continue what she started 🕊️🥰 by @queen.di__

Story ⏰

It all started with me not loving myself and having no concept of who I was besides a mom & a mom of a disabled child- and knowing that something had to change.

These pictures are in different phases of my adult life after 21. None of them newly postpartum. I was just fat. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I could go on and on about doing the work, what I’ve gone through, and what this journey has been like. I’m not perfect, I’ve never claimed to be. I give you the real.

I’ve gained weight, lost weight. Loved my body, hated my body. 🤷🏽‍♀️

If you ever wondered why I started, it was because I wanted to love myself, i had health issues, mental health issues, and I was embarrassed because bc I couldn’t get on the ground and play with my baby comfortably at A FREAKIN YOUNG AGE. 😵‍💫🥵

Why I stuck with it? Because it brought me peace and allowed me to let go of troubles in a manner that didn’t cause me to do more harm to my body than good.

Why I decided to work with women who generally are not athletes and are just trying to find the best versions of themselves while going through life ( school, divorce, life with children, big life changes, depression, not loving themselves, allowing men to use and abuse them) , because It’s always been a calling of mine. It’s just within me. It’s in my spirit. God made me that way.

Really- black women bc quite frankly we don’t have a safe space for just us, where we can exist in our blackness however that may look unapologetically. 🤷🏽‍♀️

So my next big project is creating that space- for us- to feel and exist comfortably.

All of this started with me, and then people pushing and believing in my God given talents- then he provided the tribe.

I’m grateful.💛 by @queen.di__

A joy, a milestone. To take him to register to vote & for us to go together to vote early.

As I remind everyone , disabilities are not always visible which sometimes make them harder to navigate as he’s growing into adulthood.

Just sharing some of his thoughts as we were pulling up to register him to vote a few weeks ago. by @queen.di__

And not only did she take herself & her damn roll…

She left me here without the protection she gave me…. And the love that I haven’t experienced since she mouthed I love you on FaceTime and then the phone was snatched away. 🙃

Selfish.. maybe. But my girl was one that - you don’t get over it. I’ve learned how to live , but I I’ll always yearn for her. by @queen.di__

Today my kid turned 19

And I’m at the store buying diapers for a 1 year old that isn’t a grandchild.
