“gene sis” This is our very first project, born from the ideas, conversations, and collaboration between @stefano_seven , @queerasfunk__ , and me. Maybe that’s why it feels so close to our hearts. We started with deep and meaningful conversations and gradually gave our ideas a body. From writing the concept to creating the textile elements, from mixing the sound and sampling the voices reading a text written by us, to working with the performers, creating the visual identity, filming and finally bringing this video together. Every part of this project was made with care, time and love. We are proud of what we created, but even more grateful for the people who helped us bring it to life. gene sis comes from the way we see our presence in this world as a passage. We represented the circle of birth, death, inheritance and regeneration through the relationship between bodies, movement, sound, space and textile materials. A thank to @pandora_gallery_kreuzberg for hosting us in Berlin, and to @arteaporte for giving gene sis the opportunity to open the group exhibition as part of the @ultra_contemporary_art project.
