Found this beautifully soft yarn at work and decided to give it a try to see if it makes a good yarn for my pattern Spooky Sweet Kitten. I'm so happy with the results! All the supplies for this project can be picked up at #Michael's #bernatyarn #bernatblanketyarn by @r.a.lafleur

This style of pendant has been rolling around in my head for a few years. Recently, I've been getting into using copper more. It really opens a new pallet of colors for me to play with and I'm enjoying the experience 😌 the inspo for these are Torii gates, from shrines in Japan and also Neolithic stone structures. The post and lintel of a doorway, a passage or gate. New branding for our event this weekend ~ very excited! by @r.a.lafleur

So this is the second version I have made and I am pretty happy with this size. I'd like to go smaller, but I needed the dopamine kick of finishing something nice. New saw blades were an absolute MUST 💯- I was changing blades every other packet of rings I was sawing. Eventually I will post a video, I have to get to point of not slipping and slicing myself first! 😬 all copper, 💯 hand fabricated from wire to chain and clasp. #copper #chainmail #copperjewlery #chain #jewelrysmithing by @r.a.lafleur

Went outside to touch some grass and as I did, this little dude appeared! Tiniest slug I have ever seen! 🫶 #slug #tinyslug by @r.a.lafleur

So, while I wait for approval for more government assistance and potentially starting classes for welding, I figured I would try something different. A friend asked if I have ever really done chain before and I did some very simple ones in the past, but never really dug in. With the price of silver still pretty high, I went for the practice metal of copper ~ not too bad. I may try to color the copper, but we will see. For now, I'm trying my hand at learning some chainmail patterns. #jewelry #chainmail #chain #copper #busyhandshappyheart by @r.a.lafleur

Just finished up this sweet little turquoise heart pendant ~ I have a few more hearts to set still, a few bigger. This is the littlest one🩵💙💚 set in sterling silver on a little sterling silver disc. ☺️ I love a good turquoise piece for summer! #silver #silversmithingandjewellery #turquoise #turquoisejewelry by @r.a.lafleur

Switched the band on this ring. I liked the style, but the band i had before was just too thin and didn't fit the ring well and was uncomfortable. I fixed that by going with my nice thick crazy 8 wire. Much better! Now that's a dang comfort band!! 😆🤣 #silverjewelry #silversmithingandjewellery #turquoise #turquoisejewelry by @r.a.lafleur

New item added to the shop : Would you like to be able to make a mold of something important to you that you may want to incorporate into a project later? I have just the kit for for you in my Etsy shop~ this kit includes a 1oz pot of silicone mold making 2 part putty and a protective PLA box. The kit comes with instructions on how to use the 2 part cold mold and information on how to contact me if you would like an estimate on a collaboration in silver. My shop is linked in my bio at the top of my IG. #sterlingsilverjewelrymaking #moldmaking #moldmakingkit by @r.a.lafleur

Here are a few pendants I have been working one slowly in the background of life. We went from waxes, to molds, to adjustments, to eventually getting them cast pretty dang at home! I got info of a craft holiday bizarre this weekend locally, so what does not sell there will be up online for sale before the holidays 🙂 #silver #silversmith #silverjewelry #jewelry #handmade #craftedwithlove #craftedchristmas #handmadeholiday #holidaygiftideas #craftbizarre by @r.a.lafleur

This pattern is available through my shop link in bio and on ravelry! This video is of the finish product of the Spooky Sweet Kitten pattern I wrote a few years back. I make a few every now and then as demos for my pattern when I visit and potentially leave the shop with one for visitors to check out. I worked on this pattern during the height of a few issues that I was not aware took over Ravelry (for the worse) and when I returned to knitting people had lost their platform and then AI came along and made false promises of beautiful and cute garumi patterns. 🥲 I spent years working on adapting this knitting pattern and I've only sold 1. I'd love for more people to try this pattern out ~ so I send a little kitten out into the world every so often, like voyager searching for others who need a buddy and something to keep their fingers busy. #knitting #knittingaddict #knittingpatterns #knittingpattern #knitter #amigarumi #knitgarumi #crochet #yarn #plush #toy #craft #hobby #notAI #humanmade #handmade by @r.a.lafleur
