POSTS STORIES REELS

Our international co-creation workshop ‘Participatory Design in the Metaverse’ is calling for participants now!

Participants would be taken on a virtual journey through social housing contexts in London, Hong Kong, and Lisbon to collectively reflect, discuss, and propose design interventions.

This is a valuable chance to collaborate internationally and inter-disciplinarily alongside participants from all over the world, under the broader theme of the @caad.futures.2023 conference.

The event is free and open to all, register now! Link in bio: @current.cam

We were at @sigradi_official yesterday sharing our experience in project 'round the table' which utilised webVR technology to explore the idea of a global classroom beyond the 2D frame, and how such phygital system may decentralise education in the future.

Posted @withrepost • @alberto.fernandez.g Cellular Architecture Gaming VR Spaces

Cellular Automata (CA) is a mathematical model created during the 40s as one of the complex systems that can build shapes from 1D, 2D and 3D by applying design principles from the bottom up, in which we can develop small relationships between each element, discovering emerging results, instead of the classic top-down design methods. This workshop analyses CA, using Processing and Rhino as base tools for generating spatial proposals, exploring the construction of structures based on the automata principles that each participant can develop during the 20 hours Workshop, through an outcome that will translate the models into VR gaming environments as generative pavilion-scale structures with different levels of resolution.
