NIGHTBOUND is released this Thursday, and I'm very excited to celebrate at Berlin! We hit at 7, and will be playing a bunch of music from the record, along with old and new things. I feel so fortunate to have brought together such a sensitive, hilarious, and musically dangerous crew to bring this music to life - @andrewlongsaxophonerepair @racehoglund @abdelgarderon @mitch_van_laar_ all of whom have brought their own sensibilities to this thing that I've been slowly adding to for nearly a decade. I hope you'll join us, and that you'll consider buying a ticket in advance to secure your spot, and to support one of the coolest live music rooms in the country. We've got the tunes, but we need rooms like Berlin, and we need you. Come hang with us!

I've been having the urge to shed classical alto lately!! (Very rare) I'm experimenting by trying some Vandoren V21 and V12 reeds which has been a lot of fun. So far the V12's feel the most comfortable, but I still need to dial in my sound. Classical saxophonists: what do y'all use? taken in Minneapolis, Minnesota by @ryan_garmoe

I had such a wonderful week teaching at International Music Camp! Getting to hang and play with friends and teach phenomenal students makes it one of my favorite weeks of the year by far. I even made it to the last chunk of Michael's wedding after driving 8+ hours from camp!!! Feelin v blessed and happy taken in International Peace Gardens - International Music Camp by @ryan_garmoe

I've been learning this solo off and on for a while now and maaaan has it kicked my ass. Trying to match the exact articulation and everything has been a real challenge ESPECIALLY the alternate fingering stuff. I still don't think I am getting the right timbre or punch that Chris has, but I'm in the ballpark. Now I gotta learn the last chunk 🎷

Also pls check out Sean Mason's music. It's killing taken in Minneapolis, Minnesota by @ryan_garmoe
