POSTS STORIES REELS

‼️We interrupt the usual Orcposting with a Gnometention Declaration ‼️👍🫂 Just a quick and loving statement of Gnome-intention, with #gnomevember approaching: Having been a member of various Gnome communities across multiple social media planets over the years, and considering how that’s gone a couple times AND how things are (currently) in the social-political climate of my Earthly country, I want to make something clear 🧡 In my experience, Gnomes stand for wonder, curiosity, knowledge, nature – especially woodlands – and home and hearth. Spaces that are open to, support and welcome *everyone.* However, sometimes their images and imagery get coopted by less kind people with very unkind motivations (to put it lightly). I feel very, very fortunate that those who have resonated with my own Gnomework have largely been chill and very kindly. All my gratitude to everyone who creates that space, especially @kristileighgillustration (who does our prompt lists every year!) and @houseofgnomi (great information on Gnomish imagery in resistance spaces!). And/so, to anyone who’s gotten the opposite message: Let it be known that my devotion to them, and their very essence in my Gnosis, **is a safe space for all** (except those that seek to create an unsafe space for others!). Including all BIPOC, including all queers, including therein all trans people. As should be obvious, goodness. Please know any vitriol, hatred or exclusionary language is NOT their truth, and you are SO welcome and appreciated in this space. #gnomes #fantasyart #faerie #drawingchallenge

. ~* “What do you do, when you’re a lost faerie in a realm that has forgotten it is Faerie at all? When you set out to save a legendary Princess that no one else believes in? When you intend to court and marry that Princess, but you meet someone else – someone fascinating – on the road? When Love can change the world? – Follow Tock, a Gnome woman from a steampunk society in a realm of high fantasy, as she finds herself thus bound. Driven by a Fairy Tale about a trapped Elven princess on a floating island, she convinces her friend Bumble – an airship pilot – to join her quest to rescue her. They hire extra firepower from unfamiliar lands, and together they seek the island and the princess. But what they seek may not be quite what they expected . . . ” *~ As always – proudly contains queer characters and romance, size-positivity, Faerie, spiritual magic, conundrums and tomfoolery. Rated T. Collects existing issues 1-4, as well as five exclusive bonus tales/articles and some behind the scenes design work, for a total of 176 pages. 💗✨️ Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this possible, especially the Supporters who contributed to the printing, and the @community_arts_partnership locally, who provided the grant that got the ball rolling! — (Stay tuned for release party details, too!) — #bookstagram #comics #queer romantasy

#gnomevember day three!! Circle. Again, still carrying the spooky season vibe a little bit with *maybe* the smallest and *absolutely* one of the best fictional faerie witches – Lisa, wife of David, from #davidthegnome . Particularly episode 2, in which she pretends to be a witch to rescue him from some Trolls who have waylaid him unkindly. But what if she had kept practicing, after that? (Not that she doesn’t have her own magic, as it is. As they all do, all Gnomes across all settings.) — Prompt list from @kristileighgillustration 🧡 — #gnomewoman #faerie #inspiration

#gnomevember day two!! Monkey. Taking the prompt as in monkey *wrench!!* So it had to be #tockthegnome ‘s mentor and adoptive older brother, Ruggels Sprizzenfritz. In order to make the pointed cap make sense, since Gnomes of this realm only wear them for special occasions (unless they’re of an upper class), we’ll say he’s found himself in a situation Tock herself has often been caught in – being at a fancy party, and being the only engineer on hand when something pipe-wise goes awry. Still not letting go of spooky season entirely, myself, yet – so this still has a certain vibe… 👻 Prompt list from @kristileighgillustration !! #gnomes #faerie #drawingchallenge
