✨finding no spice books so you don’t have to

POSTS STORIES REELS

Attention authors and publishers! I want to read your no spice book! My dream has always been to do this and I’m so happy that this platform has given me the opportunity to do it!

Here is what I do: I post reviews on Instagram, TikTok, Goodreads, and Amazon! I also post reading vlogs and book recommendation videos on my no spice YouTube channel!

I do live in Canada so I understand that shipping can be expensive. That’s why I’ve had authors send me an author copy through Amazon so shipping is cheap.

I’m so excited to discover some new favourite books and scream it to the mountaintops about how much I love them!

If you are interested or have any questions, feel free to DM me! I am looking forward to talking and working with you! 🩵 by @rachisreadingg

Are you a closed door reader looking for books that are truly no spice? Welcome to Rachisreadingg where I share what is in the books you’re reading so you feel comfortable with what you’re reading!

I feel like the terms no spice, closed door, sweet, and clean can still be used to describe a book that makes readers (like me) uncomfortable so that is why I am here! To save you time researching books and giving you more time to actually read them!

I’m my reviews I will share:
-how far the romance goes
-language frequency
-innuendo levels
-faith themes
-content warnings
-paranormal activity
-fantasy elements
all from a Christian worldview!

I’m so glad you’re here and I hope I am able to help you find a new favourite book!

I’ve started a no spice YouTube channel: Rachisreadingg!!!! I felt like YouTube had a lack of closed door book content and I felt like this was where God was leading me!

I have been having so much fun making long form videos and I’m grateful for all of the support you guys have shown it so far! It makes my day when people enjoy it and appreciate the closed door book recommendations!

I would love to be able to provide for myself from this and other bookish endeavours in the future 😉 But right now, passion is what is fueling it. I’m trying to reach 4000 watch hours and wow is that hard lol!

I included some previews to my recent videos 💓 by @rachisreadingg

When spice is in your YA BOOK!? I am so sick of authors putting inappropriate content into their books geared towards YOUNG ADULTS but this seems to be the world we live in.

Btw I love this audio and had to make it bookish related 🤭

Elwood (I doubt I’m supposed to call you by your first name but quite frankly I don’t care) needs to ride his carriage into a meadow and touch some grass BECAUSE WOW!!

It was hard to read about Isabel and Elwood but it gave me a glimpse into how women would have had to live in the past. Instead of searching for their happily ever after, they had to enter relationships for practical reasons.

I won’t give spoilers but a certain man comes along and their romance was so sweet and a nice change of pace from Elwood. This was a love triangle where I didn’t actually know how the story would resolve!!!

Tropes:
🪶 bookish FMC
🪶 historical romance
🪶 love triangle
🪶 plot twist
🪶 he falls first and harder

As a Christian, I take it for granted that I can just open up my Bible and read it whenever and whenever I like. So, learning about Isabel and the Protestant Reformation really opened my eyes to the horrors that happened during that time. I also loved learning about Isabel’s Catholic faith.

If you want to be transported back to the 1500s and fall in love with hand kisses and this book, please be aware of the content warnings which are on her website: https://www.angelinasalvaggio.com/

Thank you so much for the copy @angelina_salvaggio_author and I can’t wait for the next book 🤭

Romance: This book features a physically and emotionally *busive and controlling relationship where he forces himself on her. He liked her since she was extremely young which was maybe common back then but I don’t know. It only goes as far as passionate kisses. SPOILER: when they get married they wake up in the same bed.

Language: There is language but no f words. by @rachisreadingg

When you’re reading at 3 a.m. and the words stop making sense:

Do you like to read late or do the words jumble together? Haha

My grandma bed time won’t let me read this late but if I did, my brain would be mush and sound like this 🤣
