Before the gold, there were layers and layers of petals. 🌸🎨 A little behind-the-scenes of Lux Floral coming to life. Building up soft ivory blooms, deep midnight blues, and all those tiny details, one brushstroke at a time. Inspired by the romantic florals and little moments collected in Italy, slowly turning memories into something tangible. The painting is almost there, but there's still a little magic left to add. ✨👀 Lux Floral 12 × 16" | Acrylic on canvas Gold foil details coming next. #RadcastleArt #LuxFloral #PaintingProcess #FloralArt #ContemporaryArtist by @radcastleworld
Introducing Lux Floral. 🌸✨ A little piece of Italy, reimagined through paint, petals, and gold. Inspired by the floral details, textures, and quiet moments I collected along the way, I wanted to create something that felt timeless, romantic, and a little dramatic. Soft ivory blooms, deep midnight tones, and hand-applied gold foil that catches the light as you move around the piece. A mix of nature, memory, and a little bit of luxury. A little world coming to life, one layer at a time. 🎨✨ The Threshold Is Quiet is part of my Lucid Dreams collection, exploring that in-between space where waking life fades into dreams and imagination takes over. This piece also introduces a little character you'll be seeing throughout the collection. ☁️ Think of him as a wandering soul or spirit guide, quietly moving between worlds. A familiar presence in unfamiliar places, reminding us that even in the unknown, we're never really alone. He's becoming a little world of his own, and I have some bigger dreams for him beyond the canvas. 👀✨ For now, here's a peek at where his journey begins. The Threshold Is Quiet, out of the studio and into its own space. There’s something different about seeing a painting on a clean wall, away from the paint, palettes and process that created it. It finally gets to exist on its own. Part of my ongoing Lucid Dreams collection. ☁️ The Threshold Is Quiet Acrylic on wood Available for collection. DM for inquiries. by @radcastleworld
Building it one layer at a time. Colour over colour, adjusting shapes, covering things up, bringing others back. The part of painting I love most is everything that happens between the original idea and where the piece eventually decides to go. The Threshold Is Quiet from Lucid Dreams ✨ by @radcastleworld
The Threshold Is Quiet A new piece from Lucid Dreams. I’ve been building this collection around those strange spaces between one state and another. Moments that feel suspended, familiar and slightly unreal. This one became quieter as I worked on it. Layers of landscape, familiar figures, architecture and abstract forms moving between something recognizable and somewhere that doesn’t quite exist. A little look at how it came together. The Threshold Is Quiet There’s a moment before something changes where everything feels strangely still. That space became the starting point for this piece. I wanted the landscape to feel recognizable without belonging to a real place. Something you might remember from a dream, where architecture, colour and nature overlap and the logic of the scene only makes sense while you're inside it. At the centre is a recurring presence within Lucid Dreams, a symbol of consciousness moving through these shifting spaces. A quiet awareness existing somewhere between the internal and external world, awake within the dream. Part of my ongoing Lucid Dreams collection. We Recognize Each Other Here. 👥️ Some conversations happen without words. Some connections exist somewhere between silence and understanding. This piece is about that space. The quiet moments where presence says more than language ever could. Two figures meeting across a dreamlike landscape, carrying different worlds, yet somehow recognizing one another. A reminder that we're often understood in ways we can't always explain. 24" × 24" • Acrylic on wood #RadcastleArt #LucidDreams #ContemporaryArt by @radcastleworld
There's something special about making work away from home. This painting came to life during a self-directed artist retreat on Salt Spring Island, surrounded by quiet mornings, long studio days, and enough stillness to let a new body of work begin. We Recognize Each Other Here is the first finished piece from my ongoing Lucid Dreams collection. 24" × 24" | Acrylic on Wood Available. #LucidDreamsCollection #WeRecognizeEachOtherHere #Radcastle by @radcastleworld
We Recognize Each Other Here 24" × 24" | Acrylic on Wood Sometimes the deepest conversations happen without words. We Recognize Each Other Here explores the space between presence and expression, when connection exists even if it can't be spoken. One figure is full, reaching outward. The other feels fragmented, suspended in a place where everything is understood but nothing can be returned. Part of my ongoing Lucid Dreams collection, this body of work explores altered states of consciousness, memory, and the emotional landscapes that exist just beyond language. Each painting transforms invisible experiences into dreamlike worlds, inviting viewers to discover their own meaning within them. Available. DM for inquiries. #LucidDreams #ContemporaryArt #ContemporaryPainting by @radcastleworld
