I’m running another handstand workshop at @hotpodyogasouthampton on the 8th November.

You do not need to be able to do a handstand, just a curiosity and playfulness. We will break down alignment, drills and skills to help you learn handstand🕺🏼

Super excited to be hosting another yoga breakfast morning at @lemonandjinja.events on the 15th November 9am.

If you missed out the first time, now is your chance to join ☺️

An hour of movement, breath work and meditation. Followed by delicious breakfast and a hot drink ☕️ by @radiantsoul__yoga

Breath. Body. Mind. In both climbing and yoga, the moments when these three things work together in unison are when we find ourselves most fully immersed in the experience.

Yoga is a huge complimentary practise for climbers but I appreciate that it may seem quite overwhelming for people that have no idea where to look, what practises are best and where to fit it into your training schedule.

This is where I really want to help climbers to cut out all of the guesswork and provide genuine value to your training with specific yoga classes targeted to the needs of a climber ☺️

Comment ‘YFC’ and I will directly message you to discover how I can help 🙏🏼🧗🧘‍♀️

Let’s 👏 bring 👏 more 👏 nuance 👏 to👏 Instagram

This space can be so toxic for impacting how we see ourselves and I find I do need to check in with how I actually feel, rather than looking externally for validation.

Also turns out i can still do hard sh*t on my period but it just manifested in a way that made sense for my body, and I listened to that💪🏼

Handstands? Why not! 🙃

Ever fancied going upside down but not quite sure where to start? Or perhaps you’d just love to feel a little more confident and playful in your practice?

Join Ella @radiantsoul__yoga for a welcoming, supportive handstand workshop where we’ll break things down, explore techniques and build confidence at your own pace.

And here’s the thing… it’s not just about getting upside down.

We’ll explore body awareness, balance, strength, control and learning to trust yourself. Tools that can support so much more than your handstand practice.

No pressure to nail a perfect handstand. Just curiosity, a little courage and a willingness to give it a go.

Why not? You might surprise yourself.

Come play with us in the pod! 🤸‍♀️

Oooo this feels so good! It can be difficult to find a stretch that targets the lats as much as this does!!

Save this to try after your next climbing session 😆

- Portland Toby’s 30th birthday in May
- Peak District in April

I have a new FREE offer called the Climber’s Yoga Foundations! It’s a 3 day mini series breaking down how yoga can support you as a climber, including mobility, breath work and recovery.

Comment ‘Yoga for Climbers’ and I will send it to you :)

In this video I’m sharing my genuine routine I go through to prepare for heel hooks. It’s great for outdoor climbing as you don’t need any props, bands or weights - just your body!

It’s important to activate your hamstrings before loading them climbing to avoid injury. I like to include:

- Hamstring flossing: to gently wake up the hamstrings. No holding, to allow the hamstring muscle to warm up. 5-10 each leg

- Bridge progressions: gradually moving your feet away from you and lifting your toes. This will gradually bring more activation into your hamstrings as you move the feet away. Hold for 5 seconds at the top 3 sets

- Forward fold pulses. Again not holding but pulsing to find a gentle gradual stretch. 1 minute.

- Hamstring activation. Mimicking a heel hook before you do the real thing! This is key 🔑 this allows you to be in control of how much activation you are bringing into your hamstring! Hold for 10 seconds both legs playing with the intensity.

Hip mobility is honestly a game changer for climbers. For me being a smaller climber it’s a necessity! Here are some hip mobility/ flexibility movements I recommend to improve them!
