Free Day Elriel Month Oh, love, let me see inside your heart All the cracks and broken parts The shadows in the light There's no need to hide 'Cause I'm on fire like a thousand suns I couldn't put it out even if I wanted to These flames tonight Look into my eyes and say you want me, too Like I want you β€’β…β”€β”€β”€βœ§β…βœ¦β…βœ§β”€β”€β”€β…β€’ My latest piece was inspired by the painting by Dean Cornwell, 'The Other Side', 1918. The beautifully intimate kiss between reunited lovers and the fully extended wings sparked my creativity to incorporate a dusk palette for Elain and Azriel. I did a lot of exploring with this piece, and I'm very pleased with the new stained glass look I went for. πŸ₯° β€’β…β”€β”€β”€βœ§β…βœ¦β…βœ§β”€β”€β”€β…β€’ Art by me @Rae2Velaris Thank you, @lunepapillons_ for the Dean Cornwell painting suggestion! πŸ’— Thank you, @love.yazy, for the lovely song choice and lyrics! πŸ’— All characters belong to @sarahjmaas For @elrielmonth 🚫Absolutely no reposts please!🚫 #Elriel #elrielfanart #acotar #acomf #acofas #acosf #acowar #elainarcheron #azrielfanart #azriel #elrielmonth by @rae2velaris

Hellelil and Hildebrand, the Meeting on the Turret Stairs Elriel Forbidden Romance Stained Glass inspired by the painting by Frederic William Burton Forbidden love has been a trope of storytelling for thousands of years. Even before Romeo and Juliet. My piece was inspired by the painting by Frederic William Burton, 'Hellelil and Hildebrand, the Meeting on the Turret Stairs', 1864. This particular forbidden love story has been passed down for centuries. Elriel's story will live on as well, just like forbidden stories of the past. ❀️ Elriel's story will live on as well, just like forbidden stories of the past. ❀️ SJM, we are ready for the beautiful, forbidden romance between Elain and Azriel. πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈπŸ«Ά #elriel #elrielfanart #forbiddenromance #acotar #booktook #sjm #elrielmonth #acowar #acosf #acofas #azriel #elain #elainarcheron by @rae2velaris
Day 7: Free Day Azriel Appreciation Week A piece I did of Josh Heuston for @saraannereads (with Xaden in mind πŸ˜‰) but then she brilliantly suggested trying out Azriel for fun. Day 4: Imperfections Azriel Appreciation Week But Elain did not balk from him, did not shy away as she noddedβ€”just once. Azriel, graceful as any courtier, offered her an arm. I couldn’t tell if she was looking at his blue Siphon or at his scarred skin beneath as she breathed, β€œBeautiful.” Color bloomed high on Azriel’s golden-brown cheeks, but he inclined his head in thanks and led my sister toward the back doors into the garden, sunlight bathing them. I hope, little by little, when Azriel looks at his scarred hands, he replaces the negative thoughts of himself with the word Elain uttered to him. Then one day, he will truly believe it. πŸ₯ΉπŸ’— β€’β…β”€β”€β”€βœ§β…βœ¦β…βœ§β”€β”€β”€β…β€’ Art by me, Rae2Velaris Azriel from ACOTAR by @sarahjmaas For azrielappreciationweek β€’β…β”€β”€β”€βœ§β…βœ¦β…βœ§β”€β”€β”€β…β€’ NO REPOSTS Likes & shares appreciated #azriel #acotar #azrielshadowsinger #acowar #sarahjmaas by @rae2velaris
Bad Girl | Elain Archeron Week day 5 I’ve always loved the good girl gone bad aesthetic. I simp so hard for a bad boy and the girl who’d burn everything down to be with him. Morally gray is my favorite color. This imagines Elain, the quintessential good girl, shocking everyone and going for Eris Vanserra, her cauldron-given mate’s brother. Rae and I pictured her comfortably sitting with Eris in the Autumn Court, wearing autumn colors and staring us directly in the eyes as if to say β€œthat’s my man. I dare you to hate my choice.” There’s an enthralling look in her expression and a confident demeanor that I just love on her. And the fact that Eris is casually smoking a cigarette, looking every bit the smug male made Rae and I swoon. I’ve been a quiet fan of this crackship for a long time, and I’m honestly so excited to finally share this art with everyone. I’m so grateful to @rae2velaris for being such a ride or die queen and going on the Elris journey with me. And of course, I don’t know what I could even say to express my thanks to @trxxvon_ who is truly a gem of an artist. This piece would not exist without @trxxvon_’s talent. I can’t wait to work together again in our next piece! Elain Appreciation Week Day 3: Sunrays After everything Elain has endured, she still has hope for the future, wishing for more gardens and joy to be spread far and wide for all to experience. Her radiant soul has always captivated my attention, and I'm so incredibly excited for her story. I'm ready for SJM to show us that soft female leads are just as powerful and strong. πŸ’— I wanted to capture Elain in a more relaxed art style than my usual style. Elriel Month 2025 🌸 Peace & Quiet This was such a wonderful commission, and I am so grateful to my co-commissioners for helping me make this happenβ€”and to @tpiola_ for working on this with us! We had a hard time finding a good reference at first, and she was so kind and helpful in translating a verbal description to this gorgeous art! Thank you a million times over! We really wanted to capture the comfortability Elain and Azriel have always had, even from their first meeting. I’ve always thought that both Elain and Az would be great huggers, so what better to commission for the @elrielmonth Peace & Quiet prompt than the two of them in an adorable embrace. πŸ₯° The soft purple-pink dusk setting is so perfect for Elriel, and I’m honestly never recovering from how adorable they are in this art! πŸ₯ΉπŸ˜ β€œAnd I think Elainβ€”Elain would like it, too. Though she’d probably cling to Azriel, just to have some peace and quiet.” I smiled at the thoughtβ€”at how handsome they would be together.” β€” A Court of Mist and Fury β€œElain sat silently at one of the wrought-iron tables, a cup of tea before her. Azriel was sprawled on the chaise longue across the gray stones, sunning his wings and reading what looked to be a stack of reports.” β€” A Court of Wings and Ruin β€œAzriel and Elain remained in the sitting room, my sister showing him the plans she’d sketched to expand the garden in the back of the town house.” β€” A Court of Frost and Starlight Art commissioned by: @bookish.biologist @saraannereads @rae2velaris @arielstanowskiart_greenleaf Artwork by the lovely @tpiola_ Please do not repost. 🫢 Likes, shares, etc. are greatly appreciated! #elriel #elrielmonth #elrielmonth2025 #elainandazriel #azrielandelain #elrielfanart #elrielmonthfanart #peaceandquiet #elain #elainarcheron #elaintheseer #quietdreamer #flowergrower #azriel #azrielarcheron #azrielshadowsinger #azrielspymaster #acotar #acotarseries #sarahjmaas by @rae2velaris
Fairytales Elriel Month: Princess Bride [Westley and Buttercup finally cease falling. Westley moves over to help Buttercup] Westley: Can you move at all? Buttercup: [joyous] Move? You're alive! If you want I could fly. Westley: [holding Buttercup] I told you I would always come for you. Why didn't you wait for me? Buttercup: [sincerely] Well, you were dead. Westley: But death cannot stop true love...All it can do is delay it for awhile. Buttercup: I will never doubt again. Westley: There will never be a need. [Buttercup and Westley kiss] β€’β…β”€β”€β”€βœ§β…βœ¦β…βœ§β”€β”€β”€β…β€’ I never realized how poetic the script was in this scene, and I couldn't help but imagine Elain and Azriel. To be honest, Buttercup's line β€œIf you want, I could fly” reminds me of Elain's precious question, β€œCan you truly fly?” The poetic conversation of Elain and Azriel fittingly resembles Westley and Buttercup. Even the line, β€œI would always come for you” feels so Elriel coded. πŸ’— Imagine Azriel in the next book expressing Westley's line: True love is powerful enough that even death can not stop it. πŸ₯ΉπŸ’— β€’β…β”€β”€β”€βœ§β…βœ¦β…βœ§β”€β”€β”€β…β€’ Thank you so much, Elaine, for making this classic scene into a gorgeous Elriel artwork. Inspired by the grandfather clock in the movie β€˜Whisper of the Heart’ where a young king is in love with a cursed fairy. While brief, their story is a tale of forbidden love, of cursed fates, and of sincere longing. We are obsessed with how this piece came out and cannot wait for Elain and Azriel’s own story where they will challenge fate and true love.
