Grandfather Mountain State Park in Linville, BC was incredible! 🏔️🐻🌁

Would definitely recommend if you come to the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s $35/person to enter for the day, but that lets you see the animal habitats (they have bears, a mountain lion, bald eagles), the gift shops, the Mildred Cafe, the bridge, and access to prime hiking (see my last reel).

I have paid to come up multiple times and still could go again. The swinging bridge is a staple around here. I’m so grateful to experience it on this contract!

I have seen all over Instagram that Grandfather trail is the hardest hike in North Carolina. So, naturally, I had to see for myself.

We went this weekend to Grandfather Mountain 🏔️ state park and paid the entrance fee so we could start from the top of the mountain at the Swinging Bridge gift shop.

The challenge is partially due to these ladders 🪜 that you have to traverse to get through the trail. Despite not being afraid of heights, there were some sketchy spots.

We had poor timing and were losing sunlight, so we just went to McRae Peak and back, but you can totally extend this hike longer.

Super fun! Not as hard as I was expecting, but don’t go as a beginner!

The leaves are starting to change 🍂 I’m so excited for full on fall colors!!!!
Until then, here is Laurel Falls in Hampton, TN

2.5 mile round trip hike with a very steep descent the last 0.2 to the waterfall. Pretty easy trail until the end. I would definitely check this one out 🤩
