MLS CUP U14 25/26 🏆🥇
The trophy is the symbol. The true achievement lies in the journey in the daily process of striving for evolution each day, and always seeking to learn more and more. by @rafaas94

After a two month layoff due to injury, we are gradually getting back into the swing of things.
We’re focusing on simple coordination drills and technical adjustments working on short-range footwork, readjusting to decision-making, proper positioning, and short-distance movement.
Even though I’m a goalkeeper returning from injury, this type of technical work is something I focus on every single day.
To me, technique and decision-making go hand in hand: good decision-making paired with poor technique will likely lead to errors, and the same applies to having good technique but poor decision-making.

In his second season with the Orlando City Academy, Ethan has made his fourth official appearance, recording his first clean sheet and saving his first penalty. Ethan spent his entire first season sidelined by injury, following his return from the Guatemalan national team! After his recovery, it took five months of hard work to reach his first official match!! A lot of hard work, consistency, and belief in the process! by @rafaas94

“A goalkeeper needs to learn the game before simply performing drills.
We need to teach the goalkeeper to understand:
- What is the team’s game model?
- What is their role in each phase?
- Where should they be positioned?
- When should they act?
- What does the game require at that moment?
- How can their specific attributes contribute in that situation?

The process begins with three steps:
KNOW – UNDERSTAND – EVOLVE

Understanding the game means translating that knowledge into on-field behavior.
The goal is not merely to develop a goalkeeper who executes movements.
It is to develop a goalkeeper who understands the game, makes decisions, utilizes their abilities to solve match situations, and maintains mental balance.”

“Without interpretation, there is no intervention.”
A match situation where the goalkeeper must make a decision, read the opponent’s movement, position themselves, and react.
