A day worth celebrating at RIO.

This past weekend, we came together to recognize the hard work, dedication, and growth of our students at our belt ceremony. Every stripe and every new belt represents hours on the mats, lessons learned, challenges overcome, and the commitment to keep showing up.

Congratulations to everyone who earned their stripes and promotions! We’re proud to be part of your journey and grateful for a community that continues to push, support, and grow together. 👏

Here’s to the progress made and everything still ahead.

More than training. One community. RIO.

Professor Roger Gracie Seminar @rmajiujitsu celebrating 30 yrs in #dentontexas by @rafaellang

Willpower is one of the greatest strengths we have as human beings. And just like the body, it can be trained.

5:30 AM. Cold plunge. 🧊

Discipline means doing what needs to be done, even when your mind is looking for excuses.

Never allow your mind to grow weak or your body to become complacent.

Strength is built through the small decisions we make every single day.

Strong mind. Strong body. Unbreakable spirit.

What a great weekend surrounded by friends, sharing good times, and celebrating the Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle we’ve chosen to live.

A special thank you to my brother @rogergracie for always going the extra mile to support, inspire, and sometimes guide, whenever needed. Your friendship, leadership, and generosity mean a lot to me. We truly appreciate you, brother!

To all the friends and students who traveled from different states to be with us, thank you for making this weekend even more special. These moments remind us that Jiu-Jitsu is so much more than what happens on the mats.

Jiu-Jitsu Lifestyle, always! 🥋🌊

More than a martial art. A way of life. And in my eyes, the best way to live it! by @rafaellang

Professor Roger Gracie @rmajiujitsu October 2026. @rafaellang @rogergracie by @rafaellang

I don’t even know where to start on this post …… just I’m really grateful to so many people. 30 years …… if you would of told me when I was 19 that on your 30 yr anniversary of @rmajiujitsu you would have @rogergracie come to your school and share I would of laughed. If I can give any advice of what it took to get to this point (and i still don’t feel qualified to give that ) it would be to develop relationships. That’s what is important. I’m blessed to have so many relationships on and off the mat but mainly on the mat. And of course I have to give a huge thank you to my professor @rafaellang !!! The most selfless person I know. Without you none of this is possible. Thank you. And thank you to all my students. I will always do my best to bring you the best. Always. 🙏. Here’s to a wonderful cap on 30 yrs. Let’s see where we go now :) by @rafaellang

Ever felt like you did the right thing at the wrong time? 🤔

Drop a comment if you've been there!

Jiu Jitsu teaches us resilience and timing. Sometimes, making a quick decision can lead to unexpected consequences.

Imagine having the perfect move, but using it at the wrong moment. It can trap you instead of setting you free.

In life, we often feel entitled to act on our beliefs, but timing is everything. How many times have you faced drama because you acted too soon?

Let’s learn to pause and reflect. Timing can turn the right action into the wrong outcome.
