El día a día en lo que nos gusta. ¡Esperamos que estén teniendo una linda semana! by @rafy_am91

Last month's collaboration was a highlight of my year🤎

Rafy and I met and became friends back in December of 2017 when we were working at Sunergos Coffee. We were a part of the team that opened the Norris location, and it was one of my favorite seasons of working at Sunergos.

He and I instantly connected over our shared island culture. While Hawai'i and Puerto Rico have their differences, there are so many similarities in values and ways of life. We often laughed, danced, competed, and made fun of each other. And we were probably waaaay too loud behind the bar.

Rafy became like a brother to me, a true friend in the midst of many changing seasons. If you know him, you know he is incredibly intentional and kind with everyone he meets. His hospitality and warmth are what make people feel cared for- whether as simple as over a cup of coffee or as a friend over the years.

It was a joy and privilege to fly out to see him get married to his incredible wife, and also do this pop up with him in his shop!

We made two signature homemade drinks:
✨ guava coffee soda - guava sauce, ginger beer, and the option of adding espresso.
✨ banana bread latte - spiced banana syrup, milk, espresso and salted banana cold foam

Though it has been about 5 years since we worked on the bar together, it was so natural and fun to jump back into the rhythm of making drinks for people.

It's been an inspiration to see him pursuing this same path that I'm walking. I'm so grateful we get to learn from one other as we journey starting our companies, though thousands of miles away. And what a joy it was to meet so many of his amazing friends and regulars.

Thank you to everyone who came and helped, and thank you Rafy, for being a steadfast friend. I can't wait to see how Cafe Pueblo continues to unfold!! by @rafy_am91

forget about shell phones, a real coffee compa calls you through your pitcher🔥😂

More to come on this collab I got to do with one of my dear friends at his shop in Puerto Rico. Such a fun highlight of this year!! It is truly a blessing to know Rafy and see his amazing work in person🤎 by @rafy_am91
