#HispanicHeritageMonth has officially started, and we are excited to celebrate with you. We have so much in store for the next month, more details to come soon! #snacktownpride🥨 #yorkcountypa #hanoverpa #pennsylvania by @raiceshanover

Hispanic Heritage Month starts now, and we’re celebrating the loudest way we know how. 🐉

In 1936, Pedro Linares dreamed of a forest full of impossible animals: a donkey with butterfly wings, a rooster with the horns of a bull, a lion with an eagle’s head. All of them shouting one word at him, alebrijes. He spent the rest of his life building them.

Now we are building ours, with @raiceshanover and @lademichoacan_pa.

You’ll sculpt your own alebrije out of air-dry clay, then bring it to life with acrylics and paint markers. No experience needed, alebrijes aren’t supposed to look “right.”

Paletas and ice cream available for purchase all evening. 🍦

📅 Friday, October 2
⏰ 6PM
📍 10 Springs Ave, Gettysburg, PA 17325
🎟️ $30 — clay, paint, paint markers and tools all included

BIG THANKS!!! 🥰 to everyone who supported and was a part of our Back-To-School Drive this past month. We helped so many kids, all thanks to everyone’s kindness and commitment to supporting each other as neighbors. Your donations and support are a reminder to our children that they can count on us to help them achieve academic success. On behalf of everyone at Raíces, we thank you for everything throughout this drive. ✨
