New work for @mtjoyband for THREE nights at @redrocksco in 2027 🔮🤠🌲

Not a ton of things make perfect sense in life and almost nothing is guaranteed, but MJ’s annual pilgrimage to the shiprock does, and it’s back and better than ever. THREE nights in a row under the stars with each night featuring a special guest? Name a more perfect way to spend a Thursday through Saturday. Can’t wait to make my improv debut as the opener night one!

We wanted to really encapsulate a magical portal with the art here, and I wanted to combine it as much as possible with the venue since fans step through a magical portal into the show each night - so I thought, why not just make the iconic shiprock the portal? From there, everything came together seamlessly 🙂‍↕️ can’t wait to be back for these three nights of magic!!!

The band has these up for preorder now in the shop, and as always @vahalla_studios will be bringing these to life - and I’ll have AP’s available later on (also as always.). Until then, as always (again), thank you so much for being here!! by @raileybaceprints

New one for a powerhouse of a show happening next year - @mtjoyband + @rksbandofficial are taking the stage at the ever iconic @gorgeamphitheatre , with none other than @flipturnband and @leifvollebekk !!

This is a bucket list gig - I’ve done a few gorge posters for Dave and Chris Stapleton, and it’s been one of my absolute favorite places to draw inspiration from, but I’ve always held a spot in my heart for the day we finally got to headline a show there, so when I got the text to start planning for it, my heart skipped a billion beats and we got to cooking. Made all the more special with the INSANE lineup of bands, and the fact that this is now only two hours from my front door, I’m so insanely honored to present this work.

It’s wildly straightforward, we wanted to capture the beauty of the gorge and the energy of the overlook from the venue but keep it low key, so a simple campfire with a view and some magic came to be. I saw the gorge for the first time this past weekend when driving to Seattle, and I almost cried - so I really hope I was able to capture just a teeny tiny sliver of that feeling for y’all here while preparing y’all for what’s sure to be an incredible night of music and memories.

Both Mt. Joy and RKS have these up for pre-order now, and they’ll be available at the show in both regular and rainbow foil - and I’ll have AP’s wayyyyyyy next year after the show. Until then, I’m so glad y’all are here. Thank you. by @raileybaceprints

September on film 🤝

September felt like the most stationary month of all time - I did almost nothing but work and start prepping for the move, it was such a strange in-between of knowing I’m leaving but it being too soon to pack (I say this in early October surrounded by moving boxes in a bare walled apartment), so things felt frozen still all month. Since I didn’t do all that much, there wasn’t all that much to photograph - but I did take my camera to Geodis for both @nashvillesc home matches, as always, so that’s mostly what we’re cooking with here - with a lil bit of Bills and a trophy that I’m insanely honored to have received from playing a small part in @mtjoyband ‘s red rocks shows.

October is a big and scary month!! I’m packing my life up and driving my car with all of my plants and fragile things out west to Seattle by myself in the middle of the month, which I’m very excited to take my cameras on the road with me for the trek. INCLUDING my new (to me) Super-8 camera, which I’ll be using to shoot some lil videos of the countryside as I drive thru it all next week (from now!). Can’t wait for this new chapter in my life in Washington, but my oh my is it feeling bittersweet and astronomically scary.

Photos developed as always by the ever incredible crew at @artifctnash !!!

Anywho - y’all know the deal. Here’s some photos and a lil brain dump from where I was at when taking them. Nothing new and same as it ever was. I’ll see y’all in October 🗣️ by @raileybaceprints

Folks I’ve got some preeeeetty fun news… I suppose it’s finally time to spill the beans - I’m moving to Seattle, WA!

I visited earlier this year and fell in love with the city and the nature surrounding it, so much so that I figured it was high time for me to open my next chapter of life there - and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m going to miss a whole lot about Nashville, but it’s time for what’s next. Can’t wait for year round sunshine and perfect weather!

Part of this move is moving all of my stuff, which is when I realized - I have a lot of it! Including a whooooooooole lot of prints, in a stack nearly as tall as I am in my storage unit. So it’s time for the BIG MOVE sale to help you snag the print or tee you’ve wanted to get for a while, and in turn help me not have to move it! The code BIGMOVE will getcha 20% off of MOST of the shop, with some exceptions (the new Dave Gorge print from this weekend being one of them - wouldn’t want to be unfair to the folks who picked those up at full price on drop.), but for the most part, it’s all up for (reduced price) grabs!!!

The sale will be going from NOW until the end of September, when I’ll close up the shop, ship out the orders, and then stay closed for the move and for the rest of 2026 to restructure and organize - mainly to better find a way to ship things so it doesn’t take weeks at a time. I’ve got a few things in the works that would be big steps in the right direction - so I just want some time to best plan and execute those things, so when I reopen it’s smooth sailing.

Thanks so much, and as always, I’m so happy y’all are here! by @raileybaceprints

New @davematthewsband work for tonight, the first night of their annual Labor Day run at the incomparable gorge amphitheater!

This is practically hallowed poster ground in my eyes - I feel so insanely lucky to work with Dave and co. as often as I do, though of the dozen or so posters we’ve done, the 2024 gorge prints were undoubtedly those that I’ve been most proud of, and I’m massively honored to return two years later to create the poster to kick off the run this year.

It’s especially special to me as the previous gorge job was interrupted by the unexpected loss of my mom two years ago, which happened just as I had begun work on the triptych. The Dave team graciously allowed me to keep the job while taking time to grieve, which then caused the work to be finished up backstage at red rocks only two or so weeks before the show date. I’ve wanted to have another go at such an incredible view that wasn’t tied to such memories and I’m wildly thankful the team welcomed me back again this year to do so.

We wanted to keep things very straightforward and really bring in the expansive beauty of the venue, highlighted by wildflowers that speckle the grassy areas of George, WA - accompanied by some red foxes playfully chasing around some lightning bugs and taking in the beauty around them. A breed of red fox is actually native to the cascade mountains (although at a higher altitude) and is considered one of the rarest mammals in North America (although this is because they’re unfortunately critically endangered), so we really wanted to highlight the beauty and magic around the venue top to bottom with these lil guys experiencing the magic for themselves.

AP’s will be available TOMORROW, Saturday Sept. 5th, at 12 NOON CT. - I will have regulars, foils, and art prints available! All printed with love by @vahalla_studios as per usual. As always, until then, thank you so much for being here. by @raileybaceprints

August on film, biiiiiiig time film dump this time 🤝

August was a big month! @mtjoyband returned for our annual takeover of Denver, complete with two red rocks shows and our popup, so a looooot of pics from last month were at the shows and are BTS of the popup at @recess_denver . I’ve gotten in the habit of taking my point and shoot everywhere with me in my back pocket - so I was able to snap a bunch of fun shots here and there that (mostly) have no propose at all. I took my full diesel camera up to RRX with a few rolls too - and man, it was surreal to take pictures at such a sacred place. I’m finally getting the hang of shooting at night, even if some of the shots come out way too moody or look like they’re taken at a party with ten thousand of our friends.

I also went on a boat day for a friend’s birthday! I got way too sunburnt but ripped so many diet cokes and bero’s, you’d think it was my job. Making time for myself outside of work has become an increasingly important thing to me - I get so swallowed up by long hours during the summer, it felt incredible to disconnect from the world for a bit leading up to such a hectic week in CO. We then hit @mastacos (as usual) and I ripped too many tacos and plantains… fun day.

Then lastly, more @nashvillesc as always - somewhere that’s very quickly become a home away from home, where I’m surrounded by my people and have found a sense of community stronger than really anywhere else I’ve ever stumbled upon. There were also a few shots leftover on a roll from my time in WA from last month, which I’m unbelievably excited to return to later this year - but that’s for another post 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

Thanks, as always, for being here folks. by @raileybaceprints

July on film 🤝🤝

Shot most of July on a handy lil Kodak point & shoot film camera that I picked up from @artifctnash right before the fourth, who developed all of these as always, and had a blast toting it around pretty much everywhere I went. I didn’t do much of anything other than work most of the month being that it’s the buuuuuuusy season - but I took it with us to the pool and out to the bar with friends on the fourth (where I cheers’d @luckys_3_star potato salad to some ponies, the best potato salad in Nashville), to some @nashvillesc games, and to Seattle to scope out a potential change in scenery. It was such a great month of ebbs and flows and the start of August felt incredible to be on the other side of it.

Brought my lil point and shoot with me to Denver and got some red rocks, some @mtjoyband, and some BTS of the popup we’ve been putting together here - so I’m really stoked to get these rolls developed after I’m back. So, so, so jazzed to be behind a camera so regularly again and incredibly thankful to folks who have been egging on this lil surge of creative energy. Creating for a living can so often make all art feel explicitly like work, but these lil photo dumps have reminded me deeply that not all creativity has to have purpose. Anywho - thank you, as always, for being here everyone! by @raileybaceprints

New work for @dualtonerecords to celebrate their 25th trip around the sun, and for the party they’re throwing at @thebasementeast next month during @americanafest !

This was a super fun one - when they approached me about doing this, I had the idea to put my own spin on their 15th anniversary art, which they so graciously agreed to and trusted me to bring to life. It’s packed full of references and Easter eggs to them, their office, and the culture that lives with in such a tight knit family of a label. They even let me put in some of my smiling flowers and lil wavy hands! Such a stacked lineup of dualtone artists as well, I’m sure it’ll be a blast!!

They’ll have these available for sale at the show, which will be beautifully brought to life by @vahalla_studios sometime over the next few weeks. Until then, thank you as always for being here! by @raileybaceprints

Denver Denver Denver, we’re running back our annual popup bigger and better than ever this year. We’ll be hosted by @recess_denver for THREE nights this year, daily before all three @mtjoyband Colorado shows this year! As always @dribgetart and myself will be popping up! Also for the first time ever - we’re joined by @crocs who will have some excl. Mt. Joy jibbitz up for grabs.

We’ll have this year’s CO merch available first at these events - and we have some fuuuuuuun goodies for this year. I’m really stoked on how everything came together and we can’t wait to share them with y’all.

Before folks ask - yes, I’ll have some of my recent phish prints available at the event along with the new black keys prints.

Been busting booty to make this one extra special - we have some really fun food and drink items planned that will be exclusive to the event, a custom photobooth with themed photostrips, and more in store for y’all. Those who have come in previous years know that this is the hang of all hangs, so come hang!! Grab some food, some drinks, grab some merch (and art!), it’ll be a great time. See y’all then! by @raileybaceprints

New work for the incredible @chrisstapleton for his shows tonight and tomorrow at the incomparable @gorgeamphitheatre !

The gorge is one of my favorite venues to do work for, though I’ve only done a handful of posters for shows there. It’s gorgeous and presents boundless inspiration and scenery to draw from - so I was stoked when I was asked to do this set for Chris and co. We went through a few iterations of my initial concept - but from the jump, I wanted to make a tried and true, dark and light, yin and yang set for the diptych. The idea of the two windows looking into the opposite poster came into play, and from there we were off to the races. Washington is home to 150 species of butterflies (including my favorite, the monarch), so I wanted to work them into the pieces in a prominent way - and I’m very stoked on how they came out. Approaching the overall sky behind the windows as a mat painting (what was used in movies before mass market CGI) was a challenge, but super fun to incorporate the shadows from the sconces while working through the idea. Plus - I was always told to leave the porch light on unless my entire family was home and safe while growing up, so I turned them on for night two to let fans of Chris know that the lights are on to guide them home to his music and shows.

Thanks as always to the team at @redstarmerch for the trust - and to @vahalla_studios for knocking the set out of the park as always.

No true AP release on these - though I’ll be aiming to release an art print set at some point down the road, and have a VERY small amount (5) to bring with me to in person shows, should anyone want to hunt one down. Until then though, thank you as always for being here! by @raileybaceprints
