Cadini di Misura | Dolomites, Italy📍

I finally managed to visit Cadini di Misurina at 2,839m, an enchanting gem nestled within the Eastern Dolomites. It’s taken me a lifetime of dreaming to see this breathtaking wonder and has earned its well-deserved place as part of the fifth group acknowledged by UNESCO as a Natural Heritage Site. Frustratingly the weather hampered many of the photographs and footage due to the strong winds. However this is what I managed to capture.

Cadini di Misurina is located in the picturesque municipality of Auronzo di Cadore, in the province of Belluno, these majestic peaks gracefully embrace the splendid Lake Misurina. The very name “Cadini” draws inspiration from the captivating Italian term “cadorinociadìn” (catino), which alludes to the expansive high depressions that grace this remarkable formation. At the pinnacle stands the awe-inspiring Cima Cadin di San Lucano 2,839m, accompanied by the majestic Cima Eötvös 2,825m and the striking Cima Cadin Nord Est 2,788m. Prepare to be inspired by nature’s grandeur and embark on a journey of wonder in this awe-inspiring destination.

🌄 Chasing Storms to Capture Beauty! ⛈️ Witnessing the Enchanting Lago di Braies

After an electrifying wait, I braved the thunderstorm to capture the breathtaking beauty of Italy’s hidden gem, Lago di Braies – the “Pearl of the Alps” 🏞️✨ Nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, this stunning turquoise mountain lake sits at an altitude of 1,496m, a true masterpiece of nature.

🌲🏞️ Part of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park, Lake Braies shines like a sapphire in a side valley near Val Pusteria. Its 77-acre expanse is a must-see for travelers exploring the Prags Dolomites.

🕊️ Unveiling the Past: Amidst its serene beauty, Lake Braies holds a poignant history from WWII, as it was tragically linked to the transport of concentration camp inmates to Tyrol 🕊️

Experience, Lago di Braie, a slice of heaven on Earth 🌍📸

Take me to church…. Simply breathtaking hike taking in this stunning church.

The sanctuary of the Madonna della Corona is located in the municipality of Ferrara di Monte Baldo, not far from the hamlet of Spiazzi di Caprino Veronese, in the province and diocese of Verona. Set in the rock, it is located close to a cliff at an altitude of 775 metres above sea level overlooking the Val d’Adige.[ 1] by @ramblingnortherner

There’s something about being alone in the mountains that just makes sense to me.

Early morning in the Dolomites, hiking towards Lago di Sorapiss, with nothing but the trail ahead and these incredible mountains all around me.

I find a kind of peace up here that’s hard to put into words. No distractions, no noise, no pressure. Just being present, taking it all in and appreciating where I am.

I think that’s what I love most about the mountains. They help me switch off, clear my head and put everything back into perspective.

Some places just stay with you. The Dolomites will always be one of them.

Some places… just make you feel something you can’t explain.

For me, these mountains are one of those places.

Every time I come here, the world seems to slow down. The noise, the pressures, everything going on in life… somehow, it all fades away.

Up here, I find a kind of peace that’s hard to put into words.

The mountains have become my solace. A place where I can breathe, clear my head, and just be myself.

And no matter how many times I see this view… it still takes my breath away.

Some places you visit… and some places become a part of you.

For me, this is one of them. 🏔️ #TreCimeDiLavaredo #Dolomites #MountainSoul #ItalyFromAbove by @ramblingnortherner

The mountains looked like they were on fire.

A sunrise at Passo Tre Croci that was hard to believe was real, the first light hitting the Dolomites while the full moon was still hanging behind the peaks.

One of those mornings that makes getting up early completely worth it.

The Dolomites doing what they do best.

This is what peace looks like from above.

Flying over Lake Braies in the Italian Dolomites, surrounded by mountains, glassy water, and one of the most unreal views I’ve ever seen.

Some places just hit different.

Up here, above the water and between the peaks, everything feels lighter and feels like home’

From dawn to dusk, the Santa Maria del Fiore stands timeless. Join me as Florence awakens and glows into evening. 🇮🇹 by @ramblingnortherner

You can put miles between yourself and a place, and still never really leave it.

For me, that place is here.
Italy. The Dolomites.

Somewhere between the silence and the height, it all feels familiar again.

Passo di Giau felt like the right beginning.

Glencoe doesn’t ask to be noticed. It commands it.

The Highlands in autumn reveal something older, something that was here long before us.

Some landscapes you visit. Others refuse to let you leave.
