Based in Bitonto, in the Puglia region of southern Italy and frequently guesting at studios across Europe, Ramon Panebianco approaches body art through a deeply intuitive, organic lens.
Drawing directly from the living world, both plant and animal life, his practice treats natural structures as forms that naturally belong to the human body, waiting to be discovered and brought to the surface. Ramon creates most of his designs freehand on the skin, allowing muscle groups and natural body movement to dictate the flow, rhythm, and placement of each piece.
His visual language balances dynamic and organic motion with structured geometry, symmetry, and the potential for complex, layered compositions. Approaching tattoos as a form of intimate body embellishment Ramon seeks to create art that feels fundamentally connected to the wearer.
His creative references span a wide spectrum of disciplines, including architecture, sculpture, graphic and industrial design, as well as the study of natural patterns. Beyond formal art history, Ramon finds constant inspiration in the ordinary textures, walls, and shapes captured during daily life.
For him, inspiration is an ongoing exercise in observation - a commitment to recognizing unexpected potential in everyday compositions and translating them into fluid, body-conscious adornment.
