Debut novel "Polar Night",
"Nightingale Creek" OUT NOW!
POSTS STORIES REELS
My two novels, "Polar Night and "Nightingale Creek" are both out now on Amazon in paperback form! I am so excited for their release out into the world. This was something that I wasn't sure would ever happen, but I am grateful that it is. I'm also grateful to everyone who has already bought a copy and shown me pictures of them arriving. It makes it so real for me that a book I wrote is actually out there, in the world, for people to read. Thank you to everyone who has already taken a chance on me. And just so you know, this is only the beginning. I have many more manuscripts that I'm planning on releasing in 2026 and 2027! So be on the lookout for updates! Thank you all again so very much! #WritingCommunity #newauthor #debutnovel by @randallmurrain
HOLD ON, WAIT A MINUTE! Y'ALL THOUGHT I WAS FINISHED?! Introducing the Neo-Western "Nightingale Creek." A lone stranger on a motorcycle with no gas rides into the West Texas town of Nightingale Creek. Before long, the stranger finds himself in a power struggle with a corrupt oil tycoon and his gang of greasy henchmen, whose stranglehold on the townspeople has become a powder keg. And this stranger just lit the match. Gunfights, bar brawls, rocker girls, and more. What's not to love? My second novel "Nightingale Creek" comes out on Amazon this Friday, October 2nd at 12:00 midnight! CW: language, violence, sexual content by @randallmurrain
I am excited to announce my debut novel, "Polar Night," releasing Tuesday, September 29, 2026 on Amazon! Set in the frozen tundra of Alaska, the story follows a homicide detective sent to Utqiagvik, the northernmost town in the United States, to solve a grisly murder committed during the period where the sun remains below the horizon in the Arctic. This is a story that I have been working on and refining for years, and am finally ready to release to the world. I am excited, nervous, and hopeful for this new venture in my life. Thank you in advance to all who have shown interest in it! Please follow my new account @rwmurrainbooks for more info on upcoming releases! On December 10, 2025, at 10:26 p.m., my beloved mother, Jocelyn Randall Murrain, left this world behind to go and be with the Lord. Many of you know the battle that began in July, a long journey of hospital stays, tests, lab work, setbacks and regrouping, moments of hope, and moments of fear. I can now say, even with my heavy heart, that mom's battle is done. Her suffering is over, and she is at peace and eternal rest in the arms of God. As for me, my heart is shattered. Both my parents are now gone, in the same year, and I will pick up the pieces. Mom was one of the best parts of me, and so much of me - my singing ability, my skill in the kitchen, my capacity for goodness and love, came from her. I will never forget any of it. I will always carry it with me, and a piece of my heart will go with her. Mom, thank you for being there for me through my success and failure, for encouraging me, for believing in me, even on the days when I didn't believe in myself. Thanks for letting me drag you along to so many sporting events, sharing in so many experiences. Thank you for all the stories you told me, and the nights in my childhood reading "Lord of the Rings" together before bed. Thank you for the laughter, sharing in my tears, the beautiful (and sometimes outright hilarious) memories we made on the road in the last few years, and sharing my recently discovered new love of Bruce Springsteen in our road trips. Thank you for all the life lessons that made me a better man. I love you, Mom. Now, and always. And I will meet you further on up the road. And with that, the 2024-25 season at @towsonuniversity has concluded. Thank you to everyone at @tutigers who I've had the utmost pleasure to work with this year. We've had some electric moments this year. Thank you to @mrg171717 for your continued support and encouragement throughout the year, and to Joe D'Antonio and the CAA for continuing to have me around for some exciting tournaments. Thank you to the athletes and staff of all of our teams, for continuing to accept this unusual guy who occasionally sings the national anthem okay. There are too many people to name here, but y'all know who you are. And a huuuuuuge thank you to @towsonband for the constant love and support every time I step out on the court at the arena. I don't know if you see me smile when I step out there, but I do. Thank you to the @thetusharks as well, always bringing the energy! Tigers truly are family. I have had so many amazing experiences this year, met so many new faces, saw familiar ones, made lifelong friends and bid many farewells, and every moment has been a treasure. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. And Lord willing, I get to do it all again next year. Until next time, RWM out 🖤💛✌🏿 #GohTigers #towsonuniversity #towsontigers #towsonathletics #ibleedblackandgold by @randallmurrain
Level 37!!!!! 2024 has been filled with its own unique challenges, its own unique tests, and its hardships, but hey, I'm still here after all of it! Grateful to still be here, doing things that I love and still enjoying my life, whatever it might be. Who knows what's next? But whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be interesting... #37 #birthday #october7 by @randallmurrain
