โœจ๏ธ Important stuff first, story time second: โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € ๐Ÿฅ‡ - Important Stuff: We're finally crowdfunding for Silver Springs Stranger! Our cast and crew came together on a shoestring budget, donating time and effort in collaboration of something magical. We'd love to be able to repay them for that. The link is in my bio to support.ย  โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € ๐Ÿฅˆ - Story Time: In kindergarten, 4 year old me was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, and four year old me told my teacher "an artist". At that time, I meant painter (because kindergarten me thought that was the only valid artist job), but little did I know, baby RL would keep that spark for 35 more years and counting. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Adult me gave up that spark in 2019. I had spent the better part of 4 years being rejected from everything I auditioned for. Film, TV, commercials, student films, indie films, you name it, I was rejected from him. I didn't know what to do and I was tired. I was exhausted from walking into a room and seeing 15 other me's, and realizing nothing about me was special. The machine wore me down.ย  โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € In 2021 I stumbled across a film called "Multiverse Dating for Beginners", written and directed by Kelly Tatham. I was mesmerized. I didn't know indie film could be so damn beautiful and heartfelt, and contain multitudes. It drew me back in. It re-ignighted that spark that I lost. Later that year I met Kelly, and drunkenly told her how much that film meant to me, and then bolted. But that was it, I was back in the game and never leaving.ย  โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € This year, I finally got the opportunity to collaborate on a film with her. It felt like a kind of quiet magic watching her move from the first glimmer of an idea to its final form and it has been an honour to witness. Iโ€™ve learned so much about myself through the process, my artistry, and what it really means to collaborate artistically and bring something to life with a group of people whose aim for magic is the same. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € I'm also blessed to call Kelly a friend now, which is kind of wild considering I just kind of accosted her after my 5th gin and tonic of the night.ย  โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Thanks for reading, go support our film โœจ๏ธ by @randileeleonard
Dear Little Me, โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € We made it. I'm so proud of us for getting here, but there's some things I need you to know before we start, so sit with me for a minute. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € First things first: this is what we love. You're gonna forget that feeling a few times, so I want to remind you that through all of your doubts and insecurities, this is the one thing you never stop loving with everything you have. It is the one thing you never truly give up on. You're never gonna quit. Not really. You are going to take more breaks than you expected yourself too, and that's OK. You will always find your way back, I promise. There's going to be more no's and doors shut than you wish, but the ones that are open will be more important than you can understand at the time. The people you meet, the projects you get to do...they're going to change the world for someone. Success won't be linear for you (spoiler alert: it isnt for anyone), and there are going to be days it hurts SO BAD to keep going. But you will keep going because, even though I can't promise you it will look like you thought it would, I can promise you it will feel the way you expected it to feel. You're gonna dance, and sing and smile, and cry and scream and jump for things you thought were out of your reach. But you're gonna reach them all, and it's going to be the most magical thing you've ever done. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € I love you so much, and I'm here for you. I got you. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Love Me. All of Me. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € ๐Ÿ“ธ: @saigecarlsonphotography @lawless.spinster.productions by @randileeleonard

๐ŸŽฌ 4 Days of Gig Harbor Film Festival and I feel like my little artist soul has been reborn. Premiering ๐‘บ๐’Š๐’๐’—๐’†๐’“ ๐‘บ๐’‘๐’“๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ๐’” ๐‘บ๐’•๐’“๐’‚๐’๐’ˆ๐’†๐’“ to not only a full theatre but to people taking aisle space just to see our little film was the biggest blessing I could have ever imagined. This community lives and breathes support and love of the arts and they give that love freely and wholly. I spent every single day being treated like a filmmaker, professional, creative, and artist while being surrounded by the likes. My vow is to make a film every year that can be shown @gigharborfilm and I couldn't be happier or more committed to a vow. TY to my PIC @kellytatham, for being the best co-creator a girl could dream of ๐Ÿ’– โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € 1. Night 1 fit check 2. New friends, insane house, intense pours ๐Ÿ™ˆ 3. We are SO excited to bring Silver Springs Stranger to Gig Harbor Film Festival this weekend for its world premiere! ๐ŸŽฌ This film *is* a story of heartbreak, disappointment, and betrayalโ€”but, more importantly, itโ€™s a story of hope and friendship ๐Ÿ’ž Itโ€™s about the magic that emerges from the bond of sisterhood.
