“Boy, you must be off your rocker
If you think you'll make it off the strip before they 'Pac ya/, you gotta be psychotic or mixing something potent with your vodka/
It takes a lot to shock us but you being so prosperous is preposterous/
How could this nappy-headed boy from out the projects
Be the apple of America's obsession?/
You totally disconnected with reality, don't believe in dreams/
Since when did black men become kings?" - Hov (Shiny Suit Theory)

Thanks for the recognition @aldianews 🗞️

Today I have the pleasure of humbly announcing that I’ve been appointed to the Board of Trustees @ Drexel University @drexeluniv & The Academy of Natural Sciences @acadnatsci

The Academy is the oldest natural history museum in the Americas and one of the finest in the world.

Drexel University with approximately 25,000 students, is one of America's 15 largest private universities.

I don’t take this appointment lightly. I know Im only able to do this and things like this by standing on the shoulders of giants who came before me.
Also - my responsibility in this, and in all things I do, is to not rest on my laurels but create space for others. I keep that mission close to my heart and even moreso ever since @tk_kinsey introduced that toast in Israel, it plays in my head everytime an opportunity for the advancement of the culture arises. Not for me, but for WE.
Never above me
Never below me
But ALWAYS with me.
Cheers to the #CultureMakers 🥂

There really is no world without Black women!

S/O to my sister @elle__tee & @mia_mi of @blackgirlswithgreenthumbs I completed their first annual Grow & Walk 5k in delco.
Yall know I’m big on history, fresh air and exercise. When you pair that with the company of positive healthy Black women making a difference in our communities and encouraging us to eat, grow and live better, nothing comes closer.
You still have the chance to join the Philly 5k on August 9th!

RIP Octavius Catto. Go vote so his death wasn’t in vain.

@elle__tee x @mia_mi x some guy who appreciates all the hard work they put in

I do this for the medals forreal
