If your cat is overweight, you’ve probably come across advice telling you to calculate calories, weigh every meal and feed a ‘light’ or ‘weight management’ diet.

While calorie intake certainly plays a role in weight management, it overlooks a much more important question: Are we feeding cats the diet they were biologically designed to eat?

At Raw Love Pets, we believe that for many overweight cats, the first step isn’t reaching for a calculator—it’s returning to a diet based on fresh meat rather than highly processed carbohydrates.

Distance has made one thing very clear… we miss these two more than words can explain. ❤️

Thankfully, we’re getting daily updates from Mom… or should I say Grandma. She’s now officially adopted a new son, Coby, and watching the three of them together makes being away just a little easier.

Knowing they’re eating the very best food from @rawlovepets , getting endless love, and living the happiest life we could possibly give them as a family gives us so much peace. Grandma seems to be enjoying her special time with the grandkids… but don’t let her get too comfortable. We’ll be home soon. ❤️

The hardest part is knowing how precious every month is in a dog’s life. Their time with us is never long enough, which is why we’ve always done everything we can to give them the healthiest, happiest, and longest lives humanly possible. We truly believe that starts with love, proper care, and giving them the very best nutrition from @rawlovepets .

Until we’re back, we’ll keep smiling through the photos… and counting down the days until we’re all together again. 🐾❤️

Hi friends living on the Garden Route, we’ve got a new partnership to announce with @lovedogs_and_company and we’re so excited about it!

Please visit their stores in Knysna and Walmer or suppawt their online shop 💚

LuSi’s always ready for the next adventure. Most people notice the fur first, but it’s more than that… her skin, eyes, energy, athleticism, digestion, everything about her just radiates health. Sometimes it honestly feels like she’s indestructible. If she gets a bump or scrape, she shakes it off like nothing happened.

And I genuinely believe a huge part of that comes down to what she eats. Nutrition matters massively to me, so of course I’m going to make sure my best adventure partner eats just as well, if not better.
LuSi’s diet has been purely @rawlovepets from the day she was rescued.

@rawlovepets pet Kefir - Nature's probiotic 🐾

Most of your pets' good bacteria is contained within the digestive system (stomach, intestines, colon). If that system is healthy, it kick starts the immune system to fight disease 🪲

The benefits:

🐾 Helps prevent illness and allergies

🐾 Easily Digestible

🐾 Provides natural antibiotic and anti-fungal properties

🐾 Promotes anti-cancer and anti-tumour activity in the body

🐾 Promotes faster healing of wounds

And....... is great tasting! 🐶🐱
