Year one of grad school ✅

Today I presented my current dataset working to establish relationships between physical characteristics of oysters, the environmental conditions they experience, and how much nitrogen they remove from the water column (Using a novel N2/Ar continuous flow through method). These relationships are essential in order to use oysters in water quality management.

Coast Day 2025! Thank you to everyone who stopped by. It was a very successful outreach event where we shared how mud matters and little things mean a lot.

Mud and sand are very different for a number of reasons, one being that they hold more nutrients for small organisms like mud snails. Mud snails offer their own impact to carbon cycling that we are super interested in! taken in Lewes, Delaware by @sophia.glastein
