Beyond the televised spectacle, invisible landlords are measuring the ocean for curtains, drafting deeds for the tides, and preparing to charge the moon a modest illumination fee. Yet Gaia has already slipped through an ancient door, carrying a lamp no oligarch can switch off—and apparently she did not stop at the front desk for permission. by @raymondedwards.digital

BAOBAB LEGACY: The Awakening A Mystical Political Thriller Inspired by True Events "How many of us wake up to a government that has, truly, turned against its people?" In modern Zimbabwe, where political corruption runs deep, an ancient Baobab tree harbors a remarkable secret. When a brilliant albino scientist returns to her family estate following her mother's murder, she discovers children with extraordinary abilities hidden within the massive tree's hollow trunk. Hunted by government forces and foreign interests, these children represent both Zimbabwe's forgotten wisdom and its possible salvation. As military forces close in and ancient powers awaken, she must make an impossible choice: cling to the Western science that defined her career or embrace the mystical heritage she's spent a lifetime denying. The fate of the children—and perhaps her nation itself—hangs in the balance. From breathtaking natural wonders to the magnificent ruins of ancient civilizations, BAOBAB takes readers on a spellbinding journey where magical realism collides with harsh political reality. Inspired by actual events and African mythology, this unforgettable story reveals how societies often cast aside those who hold the keys to our collective future. Perfect for readers who loved "Children of Blood and Bone" and "The Old Drift," BAOBAB will forever change how you see Africa's first peoples and their forgotten wisdom. Age recommendation: Adult and mature YA readers (16+) available at AMAZON worldwide by @raymondedwards.digital
CULTURALLY SIGNIFICANT STORYTELLING. ADDRESSES CONTEMPORARY SOCIAL ISSUES THROUGH INNOVATIVE GENRE FICTION Who are the true Americans? As unrest pulses through present-day America, a chilling truth emerges: the shadow of injustice has always loomed over this land. First, they came for the Native Americans—stripping the Diné, the People, of their sacred Ne-he-mah, their Mother Earth (Nahasdzáán). Then, those of African descent were enslaved, and later, generations of immigrants from Latin America faced oppression and exclusion. Today, even White Americans who dare to challenge rising authoritarianism find themselves under threat, as democracy itself trembles. How can a nation, built on the promise of freedom, call itself “the land of the free” when discrimination, division, and fear still poison its soil and spirit? The Navajo story is not just history—it is a warning. What began with the Bilagáana—the white man—taking land and lives, now echoes in the threats that endanger us all. The Takers have always fed on fear. Now, as democracy wavers, who will be next? This book is more than a recounting of the Navajo plight. It is an omen—a prophetic mirror held up to America’s soul. Today, we all stand in the shadow of doom. The Screenplay Adaptation, ROCK with WINGS: Between 2 Fires has garnered multiple FILM FESTIVAL AWARDS worldwide - WINNER for Best Feature Script. “An extraordinary fire that burns bright—ROCK with WINGS: Between 2 Fires brings cinematic storytelling to life, bridging ancient wisdom and modern experience. Raymond A. Edwards delivers a culturally rich narrative pulsing with vision, relevance, and creative daring. More than a novel, this is a story that dares to matter.”—Jonathan Zsofi (Cannes International Screenplay Awards by CINEVERSE) by @raymondedwards.digital
