KPOP DEMON HUNTERS

Stoked to see all the love for this movie.

Huge thank you to the dynamic duo directors @nutmags @appelhansc the incredible head of story @ryansavas and amazing producers @wongtangclan3 @scott.berri and @shorty9er for bringing me on.

Grateful to have been part of this—I worked across a lot of scenes with an all star cast of story artists who brought a ton of creative energy every day. Not all these moments made the final cut, but here’s a handful of scattered shots that I had fun with.

Congrats to all the artists who brought this movie to life! #storyboards #animation #kpopdemonhunters #rumi #mira #zoey #kpop 👹💥🎤 by @rayxuxu

About the book: This funny yet poignant middle-grade coming-of-age story highlights the struggle of feeling invisible while yearning to be seen by all. by @rayxuxu

Manuscript and Thumbnails: Started drafting in 2021, writing & scribbling every idea out in these lined notebooks. Sometimes I would include panel descriptions and dialogue. I did most of these a little bit each morning after dropping kids off at school and before work 📖✍️

Will be sharing more process work as pub date nears!

ALTERATIONS was initially a pitch for an animated series, so I wanted to have a little fun here with these pages as pub date nears (Jan 30 2024!!! Ahhh!!) 📚 The main character finds escape in art and comic books, much like I did as a kid 😂

My sister and I spent a lot of time in my mom’s alterations shop, and there was always a steady hum of sewing machines in the background. They always seemed like cool spaceships to me.
