Today marks the 1-year anniversary with my beautiful wife @victoria___barker

What a life we’re starting to build together filled with love, joy, and intentionality. As a celebration we went camping in Page, Arizona this past weekend. Kayaked 13 miles down the Colorado river around horseshoe bend, and hiked in antelope canyon the following day. Sooo many more adventures to come 😊 This life with you is an absolute treasure and I am thrilled to continue this journey with you ❤️ ❤️ by @rbarker_25

What do you like better, Chicago Union or wedding season?

🙋🏼‍♂️ Yes, umm, the answer would be ______ ?

🙌🏼 Chicago Union play in the central divisional championship this evening with the @ufaleague and I’ll be cheering my heart out from the west coast 🥏

With today’s technological advancements, there is still beauty and function in simplicity. Michael is living with an incomplete spinal cord injury that has resulted in bilateral flail ankle as well as bilateral Genu recurvatum of 10°. In layman’s terms, he has no muscular control over his ankles and his knees hyperextend 10°.

So I built him these super lightweight carbon fiber KAFOs with a solid ankle and posterior offset joints. Michael was so pleasantly surprised at the weight, how comfortable these orthoses were, and the positive effect it has on his standing and walking ability as well as reducing his knee pain by preventing the hyper extension from occurring.
