Where does life begin, if not in the darkness?

This weekend we gathered to honour Samhain, the turning of the Celtic wheel and the beginning of a new cycle in ancient Gaelic tradition. Something I’m gradually learning more about, reconnecting with the ways my own ancestors may have lived.

I was blessed to hold two beautiful circles. One by candlelight, dressed in black, the other in the afternoon light @the.tone.temple Both inviting us to slow down, remember and reconnect.

Something that resonated deeply was remembering that our ancestry extends far beyond our human lineage. We are woven into the great web of life, connected to the earth, waters, trees, creatures and all that came before us.

Nourished by cacao, we journeyed with the drum to meet the ancient Cailleach, reflecting on what we’re ready to lay to rest and what seeds we wish to nurture in the darkness. We sang, shared stories and crafted with clay, leaving our own imprints for the future 🫆 For we are the future ancestors. I wonder what legacy you would like to leave behind?

There’s something deeply moving about women gathering, witnessing one another’s tenderness, stories and wisdom. Remembering we’re not alone in life’s transitions.

And as I shared these reflections, I recognised how much I’m being invited to live them myself. I’m standing at a threshold of my own, with uncertainty ahead and no clear picture of what comes next. It can feel scary, but I’m learning to trust the unknown, listen to my inner guidance and remember I don’t need everything figured out. Perhaps the darkness is where something new will quietly begin.

What I do know is how deeply I love gathering in circle, creating spaces where we can arrive as we are, be witnessed and remember our belonging.

Thank you to every woman who joined me, for your openness, presence, laughter, stories and the unique medicine you brought 🖤

As nature begins its descent into the darker months, we’re invited to slow down and turn our attention towards our inner world.

But we needn’t journey alone. There is still so much nourishment to be found in gathering, sharing warmth and tending to the flame of what’s alive within our hearts.

This November brings some beautiful new experiences alongside our familiar gatherings. From a sacred sisterhood circle @the.tone.temple in Chesham, to getting cosy around the wood-burning stove @soulandyogauk, and journeying a little deeper with the beautiful Blue Lotus, cacao and sound.

Each offering is lovingly created with the intention of creating space for rest, reflection, expression and meaningful connection.

Perhaps something here is just the medicine you’re needing. I’d love to welcome you.

🎃🕯️ SAMHAIN SISTERHOOD CIRCLE 🕯️🎃

As the wheel of the year turns towards the darker half, we gather in sisterhood to honour the sacred threshold of Samhain.

A time of endings and beginnings. Of remembrance, release and returning to the wisdom of our roots.

Samhain invites us to soften into the darkness, to listen to the whispers of our ancestors and honour the cycles of death and rebirth that move through all of life.

Together with the beautiful @re.nurture, we invite you into an intimate afternoon of feminine connection, ritual, reflection and remembrance.

✨ Gentle guided meditation
✨ Ceremonial Cacao
✨ Seasonal wisdom
✨ Journal prompts
✨ Sisterhood sharing
✨ Sound Healing

A space to lay down what is ready to be released, honour the women who walked before us, and tend to the quiet seeds of becoming that rest beneath the winter soil.

There is something profoundly healing about gathering as women at this time of year. To be witnessed, held and reminded that we do not have to journey through life’s seasons alone.

Come as you are, with an open heart and a willingness to meet yourself a little more deeply.

🪷 Busy brains deserve a moment of calm

🧠🌸 At NeuroBloom, our conferences are about more than the science. We understand the importance of emotional regulation within our neurodivergent community, which is why we always include at least two wellness activities throughout the day.

🧘🏼‍♀️From sound baths and meditation to breathwork and laughter yoga, these much-welcomed moments offer space to pause, soothe the soul and find a little stillness. They can help us feel calmer, more grounded and ready to enjoy the rest of the day—and they’re one of our favourite parts!

💡Did you know? @nutritiousmindsclinics can bring emotional regulation practices directly to your home? Visit www.nutritiousmindsclinic.com to book a discovery call with Heidi or Emma and explore the support available.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Which activity would you love to experience at our next NeuroBloom?

A little celebration from my kitchen today! 💃🏻 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m so happy to share that ReNurture has officially received a 5-star food hygiene rating!

For me, working with cacao has always been about so much more than preparing a drink. It’s about honouring this beautiful plant, the people who grow and produce it, and the people who receive it.

And a huge part of that care is making sure that every step of the journey, from how the cacao is stored in my home, to how it’s handled, prepared, packaged and served, is done with the highest level of care and attention.

I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure that the love I pour into my cacao is reflected in the food safety practices that support it.

One of the loveliest moments of today’s inspection was hearing the inspector reflect on my attitude and how clearly she could see my passion for what I offer. That meant so much to me.

So what does a 5-star rating mean for you?

It’s the highest food hygiene rating awarded under the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, recognising that the hygiene standards of my food business were found to be very good at the time of inspection.

Whether you’re enjoying a cup of cacao at one of my gatherings, receiving it as part of a ceremony, or purchasing some to prepare in your own home, I want you to feel confident in the care that goes into it.

I’m feeling very grateful today. At first I shed some tears c with relief and gratitude. And then I just wanted to dance! So I’m sharing some of that joy with you.

Here’s to continuing to share this cacao medicine with love, intention and care.

One of my most treasured pieces I brought home from India… my Shruti box! Have you heard one before?

This instrument has become a beautiful companion in my own ongoing journey with my voice. It helps me to sing, play, explore sound and build confidence in expressing myself. Seriously, my voice becomes so powerful alongside it.

And it’s such a joy to share this instrument with others too. Yesterday I brought it to @hillingdonwomen where I offered a vocal exploration and sound session. I arrived with no plan as I wanted to tune into the space and who arrived. To meet the women where they were at.

Together we grounded with the drum and breath, before using the steady drone of the Shruti box to explore toning. Whenever I first introduce the sound of the shruti box nearly everyone exclaims “Wow!” I love how surprised people are by its sounds.

Then we explored how different vibrations can be felt through different areas of the body. There was no need to sound a certain way or match anyone else, just an invitation to become curious about the voice already living within us - our own instrument.

I then closed the experience with a crystal singing bowl sound journey.

My own relationship with my voice is still unfolding, and perhaps that’s why creating spaces for others to explore theirs is so meaningful to me. Because I actually get it. I get what can arise. The doubts, the critical thoughts, the discomfort and unfamiliarity, and yet I also know of the the power, the connection and the joy that lives through expressing our voice.

If you’re curious about your own voice, my next Community Singing Circle is 14th October. My shruti box and I would love to welcome you along.

I feel really honoured to be returning to @__sound_and_silence__ this time with a 90-minute immersive Sound Journey.

In a world that asks so much of our attention, our energy and our nervous systems, I believe we deeply need spaces where we can come together as humans, not just to do more, but to rest, soften and remember what it feels like to simply BE.

During my 90-minute offering, we’ll begin with gentle breathwork and mindfulness before moving into an immersive sound journey with singing bowls, gong, voice, drum, chimes and other sounds.

You simply get to lie down and receive.

And afterwards, there’s no rush back into the world. We’ll gather over a warm, nourishing herbal tea, with the option to continue connecting over a Sunday roast next door or to take yourself home, curl up somewhere cosy and let the experience settle further.

I’m only one small part of what will be unfolding over the month of October via this amazing community, There’ll be opportunities to move, dance and connect through ecstatic dance and sober rave experiences, alongside spaces to slow down, turn inward and simply receive.
Make sure to check them out!

I’d love to share this space with you.

I prayed for months like this. I still do.
Months where the opportunity to create community spaces feels so abundantly alive.

Where we gather in ancient woodland for sound baths, forest bathing, warm nourishing cacao and new connections. Where technology allows us to gather across distance and explore important conversations around reciprocity, receptivity and feminine leadership. Where I get to weave my work into communities that care deeply about authentic connection, while continuing to birth spaces of my own through sound, song, cacao, seasonal circles and 1:1 work.

And I’ll be honest, alongside all of this, there have been moments of wondering how I sustain a business I care so deeply about and want to see grow.

So looking at October feels quite poignant.

I don’t just see a calendar full of events (although it is pretty exciting how full it is!) I see community, collaboration, creativity and reciprocity. I see some of the things I once prayed for taking form. 🙏🏻

And I know that I don’t create these spaces alone. They come alive because you come too, bringing your medicine in the form of your presence, stories, willingness to connect, receive and participate.

As we journey deeper into autumn, I hope something here speaks to your heart. Maybe it’s an invitation to rest, connect to your voice, move, walk amongst the trees, sit in sisterhood, explore something new or simply make a little more space for yourself.

If you’ve read this far, thank you and I hope to connect with you soon. May your October be nourishing 🍂🤎

The Heart of Reciprocity 🌹

This offering has been weaving itself together through many conversations, experiences and observations within our own communities, both individually and collectively.

More recently, after gathering @heartoftherose_festival and hearing some of the experiences of those tending this and other conscious festivals and community spaces, the conversation deepened.

There are so many people creating spaces for us to gather, connect, heal, learn, remember and grow. People tending land, holding communities, sharing their gifts, creating meaningful work and imagining more harmonious ways of living.

And yet, so often, the people doing the tending are also the ones becoming depleted.

Perhaps you recognise something of this too.

Maybe you’re nurturing a passion, building a heart-led business, holding a community, caring for others, creating something meaningful, or simply trying to live and work in a way that feels aligned with your values.

And perhaps you’ve wondered:

How do I keep giving to what I love without losing myself in the process?

How might we learn to receive as well as give and move towards greater reciprocity, collaboration and collective flourishing?

The Heart of Reciprocity is a heartfelt exploration of these questions.

Together, we will create a space to slow down, receive, reflect and listen, exploring feminine leadership, sacred exchange and what it might mean to tend the living web that holds us all, while remembering that we, too, are part of that web and worthy of being tended.

Friday 2 October | 6:30pm
Online via Zoom | 90 minutes
By donation | All genders welcome
Recording provided

All proceeds will support Heart of the Rose, allowing the reciprocity we explore together to become part of the practice itself.

If this touches something in you, we’d love to welcome you.

Book via the link in our bio, or comment RECIPROCITY below and we’ll send you the link.

Nothing flourishes alone 🌀 by @re.nurture

A little glimpse into the making of our Autumn Equinox altar. Created for the women who gathered with me in circle to honour this threshold, a moment to pause before we begin our descent towards winter.

At its centre, the waxing moon and shining sun, honouring the darkness we are entering, while remembering that the light has not disappeared.

Around them, little symbols and prayers for the season ahead. Oak leaves for strength, and the courage to let what has completed its cycle loosen and fall away.

Fire. Please tend our inner flame and what keeps our hearts warm and alive.

Water, may we soften, feel and flow with the changing currents.

Air, like the autumn winds carrying leaves from the trees, may we breathe out what no longer needs to be carried.

Earth, may we remember that what falls away can become nourishment for what will grow again.

And the dragon, a symbol which for me, speaks of turning inward, descending into the cave and guarding what is precious.

As the natural world changes around us, may we tend a little more closely to the world within.

To listen. To loosen. To receive.

Thank you to every beautiful being who has gathered with me this Equinox, and to everyone journeying alongside ReNurture through the turning seasons.

If you’d like to join the ReNurture community, send me a message and I’ll share the details.

Wishing you a nourishing season ahead.

May we honour the light whilst welcoming the dark and trust what is quietly changing beneath the surface.

How hard it can be, at times, to surrender, to loosen our grip on the stories and beliefs that formed us over our lifetime. Safety, familiarly, comfort… cause us to cling and may leave us stuck.

I sometimes wonder if the trees and leaves struggle to detach from one another, or do they simply know what best serves them and so they let what needs to fall away be released, trusting fully in that process. Knowing that what falls to the earth becomes fertiliser for the next stage. A never ending cycle of life 🌀

Autumn inspires me more and more each year.
To surrender to the unknown and welcome the darkness as a potent void and a place to at least attempt to slow down for a while.

But it can be a lonely place if I don’t have community or practices that support me in the inevitable descent. So like the little squirrel, I get better at preparing each year so I’m well resourced. Attending events with like minded people, a little travel planned to warm my soul and crafting nourishing and beautiful creations with seasonal produce.

How do you welcome autumn? Perhaps you too can find comfort in my autumn prayer. Or if you have your own words that feel supportive in honouring this transition, I’d love to hear them 🤎🍁🧡🍂🤎

Autumn Equinox Blessings to you my loves.
