✨🪡“Find stillness, and enlightenment will emerge.”🪡✨ I’ve been meaning to share this for days… but somehow kept getting pulled away by noise Today, a picture fell from my wall right into my lap. When I turned it over, it was artwork of Aglaea 💛 I think that was my reminder to return Big thanks to @captured_by_miya for this photo 📸💛 it showcases the sword I 3D printed and painted just before the photoshoot. 🗡️It was meant to be simple… but I never quite manage that.. Commander White from NieR Automata had been my dream cosplay for many years. This year I finally finished it. It was also first time I had an opportunity to work with @aleksander.photo who is not only incredibly skilled at photography but also a big fan of NieR series 📷 It was a pleasure ✨ I feel like there's a lot I have to say about my cosplay of Commander but after taking a short break I wanted to keep this post short ✨ I'm looking forward to sharing all the photos from this set. Hope you enjoy! Also who is excited about the start of 2nd season of NieR:Automata anime? I hope you're watching it 👀 #nierautomata #nierseries #nier #commandercosplay #commanderwhite #yorhacommander #yorhacommandercosplay #yorha #yorhaisbetterthanNASA #yorhaunit #yorhacosplay #squareenixcosplay #squareenix #ニーアオートマタ #ニーアオートマタコスプレ #ニーア　#ホワイト司令官 #ニーアオートマタ司令官　#ヨルハ #スクエニ #スクエアエニックス #コスプレ by @rea.c0s
Making of my cosplay of Commander White taught me more than any other costume I've ever made. I casually started in 2018 and back then I was limited by materials in many aspects but also by my own skills. With the passing years I learned new techniques and improved my sewing. While this project was laying in my drawer I kept working on other costumes, constantly telling myself not to give up. I love NieR:Automata dearly and I was set on finishing my cosplay of Commander no matter how long it would take. The back ornaments was one of the many challenges. During the making process I considered different options from embroidery or goldwork (which is used on the arm insignia) but in the end I decided to go for a foam wrapping method. So the base is a thin foam which was sanded into desired shape and wrapped in a gold fabric. Whole piece is attached using tiny dots of velcro so it's also easily detachable for washing or storing purposes. The foam and fabric stay flexible so it can bend (I added progress photos if you swipe). For this photo I'm grateful to amazing @aleksander.photo 🙏📷 #nierautomata #nierseries #nier #commandercosplay #commanderwhite #yorhacommander #yorhacommandercosplay #yorha #yorhaisbetterthanNASA #yorhaunit #yorhacosplay #squareenixcosplay #squareenix #ニーアオートマタ #ニーアオートマタコスプレ #ニーア　#ホワイト司令官 #ニーアオートマタ司令官　#ヨルハ #スクエニ #スクエアエニックス #コスプレ #司令官 by @rea.c0s
"As far as things over here go, work at the Bunker has been smooth, for the most part. I figured the role of the Commander would mostly consist of stamping documents and the like, but I'm surprised by the amount of miscellaneous tasks I'm expected to perform. I definitely have concerns about the Type-E deployment project, though. Still, all I can do is keep trying my best." Letter from Commander to Jackass that can be found in the artbook was quite touching to read. I think the character of Commander is often misunderstood. I was pleasantly surprised by her portrayal in the anime. Even though she's an uncompromising leader she does have a sentiment towards her troops. ✨ For this photo I'm grateful to @aleksander.photo 📷✨ This cosplay was fully handmade with love ✨ #nierautomata #nierseries #nier #commandercosplay #commanderwhite #yorhacommander #yorhacommandercosplay #yorha #yorhaisbetterthanNASA #yorhaunit #yorhacosplay #squareenixcosplay #squareenix #ニーアオートマタ #ニーアオートマタコスプレ #ニーア　#ホワイト司令官 #ニーアオートマタ司令官　#ヨルハ #スクエニ #スクエアエニックス #コスプレ #司令官 by @rea.c0s
