DJ Nu-Mark’s Zodiac Tracks series takes the stars quite literally: digging through his collection, grouping artists by their signs, and mixing their records into all-vinyl birthday tributes.

It’s Libra season, so this one’s for you. ♎

Catch him in action at @muroclubkl on 10 October, with @djluqe, @realrandomkid and @seekdatruf.

Making beats is nothing new for DJ Nu-Mark. Making one from three records picked at random while blindfolded? That's where it gets interesting.

For his turn on Rhythm Roulette, Nu-Mark pulled The Rockettes, Charles Mingus and George Benson from the shelves, then got to work with Ableton Live and Maschine as his “weapons of choice.”

He approaches the challenge like making a dish from scratch: taking pieces from each record and figuring out what they can bring to the table. The Rockettes became the “meat and potatoes,” Benson supplied the guitars, and Mingus’ horns became the “paprika” on top.

Three random records, broken apart and blended back together. Here’s what Nu-Mark cooked up.

Don’t miss your chance to catch the legendary @djnumark with @djluqe, @realrandomkid and @seekdatruf at @muroclubkl on 10 October. 🪩

After throwing #theflipsidekl’s first party at @barrocakl in July, we figured…why stop there? 🙂‍↔️

The first one was a whole vibe—Sunday afternoon, good people, drinks flowing, bodies moving, and a time machine of killer grooves.

A massive thank you to everyone who came through and showed love, to the @barrocakl fam and to @dj.darnrush for bringing the R&B and hip hop heat. We had way too much fun.

So…we’re flipping the script again!

🇲🇾 Merdeka weekend. Funk & Soul edition… 🔥

@realrandomkid’s back (after being unwell for the first one) and he’s bringing the funky rhythms, rare grooves and timeless classics.

Think James Brown. Marvin Gaye. Stevie Wonder. Chaka Khan. And the records that made you go, “WAIT… I know this one!”

Same Sunday session.
Same bar.
Different flips.
More funk. More soul.

We’re bringing the block-party vibes and a BBQ!

Come hungry. Come thirsty. Come funky.
Eat, drink, dance, reminisce—and maybe discover a few songs you forgot to remember.

THE FLIP SIDE: FUNK & SOUL EDITION 🕺🏻
Sun 30th Aug
3.00pm - 8.00pm
Bar Roca @ Medan Damansara
