Hi, I’m Becca 👋

If you’re new here, I write..

💕 Rom-Coms
🌅 messy characters in stupidly gorgeous locations
💋 banter that a chef might kiss

Over the years, my journey has taken me from being a writer to @dfw_writers member, @dfwcon director, an educator, dog mom and wife. Grateful for this community 🤍

About this weekend…

It was an honor and privilege to be the 2026 Conference Director of the DFW Writers’ Conference. And extra special for me since I was recently agented with Melissa Sarver White at Folio Agency because of my involvement with this writing community. I chose the theme, “for the love of writing”, because no matter where we are in our writing journey, we all started and keeping for this love of writing. ✍️ 💕

Huge shout out to everyone who joined us this weekend. It was truly one for the books 📚

Not only is Natalie an internationally bestselling and award winning author, she is a phenomenal human and wonderful guest. We loved having her here. ❤️

Hi, I’m the friend of NYT bestselling author, Katie Bernet, and phenomenal YA Fantasy author, Dana Swift.

“Happiness for Beginners” is a seasonal re-watch/re-read for me and Katherine Center is just as funny and hopeful in person as her books and movies.

Takeaway: Romance is simply the best genre 💛🧡🩷

Sorry Kylie, the Met Gala’s got nothing on DFWCon this year

Must. Stay. Caffeinated.

Gotta keep that writing muscle strong by jumping into my next project. Now that I’ve submitted my first round of revisions, I’m excited to get back into drafting my next project. Time to brew a cup of coffee (or two) and get writing ✍️ 👩‍💻📚

Publishing 👏 is 👏 about 👏people 👏

Still thinking about this answer from Natalie Sue’s Q&A at DFWCon and how important community is in life and in writing. It’s one of my favorite things about her stories— that they center on the need for community.

Her debut, I Hope This Finds You Well, that became an internationally bestselling novel was about finding community in the workplace. And her newest release, You’ll Love it Here, is about finding community in where you live.
