RSD Black Friday is upon us! RSD Australia doesn't participate in the promotions for this event, but lots of the local indie record stores celebrate this event and stock the releases. To find out who, we recommend following and signing up for the mailing lists of your favourite local indie stores to keep up to date with Black Friday releases. Head to the stores section on the RSD Australia website to find a store near you! #RSDBF #RSDBlackFriday Artwork design by @enniday.project. by @recordstoredayaustralia
Huge congratulations to all the nominees and recipients at the 20th @ausindies AIR Awards 2026! The AIR Awards celebrate Australia’s amazing music community, recognising artists, labels, producers, publicists, music video producers and all the teams that keep independent music thriving. A special shout out to Record Store Day Australia Alumni, Ninajirachi, who had an incredible night taking home five awards including Independent Album of the Year, Independent Producer of the Year and Best Independent Electronic Album or EP for I Love My Computer; and Best Independent Electronic Single and Independent Song of the Year for iPod Touch. The attendees were also treated to special performances from @thetullamarines, @3burners, @georgiaknightclub and @elsywameyo. We’re proud to celebrate the people whose passion and creativity continues to shape Australia’s music scene and making independent music stronger everyday. Congratulations to everyone recognised at this year’s AIR awards! 📸 @lucy_partington_weddings by @recordstoredayaustralia

Thanks for having us on the panel @sonikphilippines It was great to share a stage with @dobbyau , @recordstoredayaustralia and our old pal @marcoroboto to geek out about record stores, physical media, music ownership, and imagine what a Philippines version of RSD would look like! We’re working hard for RSD to be something that all indie artists and record stores could take part in. Open call for RSD 20th anniversary is still going on, we hope to see you in stores with us soon! by @recordstoredayaustralia
