What happens to your body when you cold plunge? ❄️

10 seconds - Your body goes into fight or flight mode, triggering a cold-shock response and heightened alertness.

30 seconds - Your breathing begins to slow as you focus on controlled breaths.

45 seconds - Your body starts adapting to the cold, with blood vessels constricting to help preserve heat.

1 min - Adrenaline and noradrenaline remain elevated (boosting energy & reducing soreness), while dopamine rises (improving mood & motivation).

3 min - Your body is working harder to maintain and regulate your core temperature.

Optimal time - around 2-3 minutes is generally enough. Longer isn’t necessarily better.

Our cold baths are set between 6-8°C and 12-14°C, with a hot bath set between 38-40°C for contrast therapy. All magnesium-rich 💧🤝🏼 by @recoverylab.wodonga
