Euro Trip Part two. 📍Paris, France Everything about Paris exceeded my expectations (including the food). summer came and went, but not without some good meals While I wasn’t in the city nearly as much as I usually am this summer, I was eating good when I was. A little summer nyc recap of everything that made it to my camera roll (and a lot that didn’t) 📸 Pictured: • @bondstnyc • @scalinatellany (currently one of my favorite Italian spots in the city) • @coqodaq • @raoulsrestaurantnyc • @sendo.nyc • @tuccinyc • @selenesoho • @limusinanyc • @_cafe_atelier • @fishcheeksnyc (one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had) • @ikisekaiomakase • @palmanyc • @doubleknot_nyc #nycfood #nycfoodie #nyceeeeeats by @recs_bylex
A few newer NYC restaurants I’ve gotten to try recently. I know these spots didn’t JUST open, but they’re all relatively new to the NYC food scene — and these days, getting a reservation at a hot new spot can feel like it requires a kidney. 1. Cleo, which had some of the best chicken I’ve ever had… and I never order chicken at restaurants. Bonus points for a Cardi B sighting that night 🤯 2. Umeko — some of the best no-frills, insanely fresh fish I’ve had in a while. A super small menu, great prices, and just really good sushi. 3. I Cavallini — the perfect wine bar/Italian spot with stellar small plates with big flavors. Their farfallone with calabrian chili butter is my dream pasta 🍝 Many more to come for this summer’s roundup ☀️ by @recs_bylex
Maine Round Up 🦞 Portland is the kind of food city that makes it very easy to plan your entire day around what you’re eating next. Spent the long weekend working through as much Maine seafood as possible. There wasn’t a bad meal in the bunch, but the two spots I won’t stop thinking about are Eventide (I went back for oysters almost daily) and Fore Street, where every dish was incredible. One of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time, which is saying something for someone who eats out as much as I do in NYC. Some scenes from one of the best meals I’ve ever had—and probably ever will. Still dreaming about every single course. A truly unforgettable evening @sushinoznyc ✨ by @recs_bylex
This winter really didn’t hold back. There were plenty of days it felt easier not to leave the apartment at all, but somehow it still turned into a season of good meals—trying a few new spots, going back to some reliable favorites, and cooking more than usual. Good food and good company made it all feel a lot warmer. Summer might still be hanging on, but I’ve been making the most of being back in the city — especially exploring some gems on the Upper East Side lately 💫 Rounding up a few spots I’ve loved recently, and looking forward to staying put this fall and diving into even more new restaurants around NYC. The dreamiest honeymoon complete with the most delicious meals. We were blown away with everything we ate throughout our trip to Africa from Ostrich Steaks at Kloof Street House to the freshest Red Snapper Ceviche in the Seychelles. Not to mention, everything the chefs at &Beyond Ngala Tented Camps cooked up was AMAZING. This summer’s been all about good bites and better vibes — as you can see, seafood’s definitely been the main character. From oyster bars to pizza at home — every meal’s been its own little highlight ☀️ by @recs_bylex
It’s been a minute, but I’m back—and starting strong with a great pre-MSG spot. Their original location’s in Brooklyn, and now they’ve brought their pizza (and a surprisingly solid seafood game!?!) to Manhattan. Not the coziest block, but the food makes up for it. In addition to their wood-fired pizzas, they offer a selection of antipasti, salads, pastas, and an impressive cocktail menu. Everything’s made to be passed around the table 🫱 Pictured - • pizzas : bee sting, cheesus christ, margherita (add mushrooms) • little gem salad • tuna carpaccio • stracciatella & house bread No surprise the pizzas were my favorite (especially the bee sting), but honestly, everything else was just as good 🍕 #nycfood #nyceeeeeats #nycfoodie #robertas #nycpizza by @recs_bylex
