This session is an introduction to vinyl DJing for anyone curious about learning the basics from the ground up.We’ll start with how to properly handle records and turntables, then move into practical skills like cueing, finding the starting point of a track, pitch control, headphone monitoring, and following the beat.Vinyl is delicate and unforgiving. A small touch can make a record skip, which makes it one of the best ways to build focus, control, and real DJ fundamentals.The main focus will be hands-on practice. Each student will get time on the turntables with guidance and feedback.This workshop is not about perfect mixing on day one. It’s about building confidence, understanding the equipment, and learning what skills to develop next.Maurdikai has been playing vinyl records for around 15 years.For him, vinyl has a warm, imperfect, human character that feels different from perfectly clean digital audio. It requires focus, patience, and presence. Every small movement matters.His approach to DJing is not about chasing perfect technique. It is about reading the room, choosing the right record at the right moment, and creating an experience for the dancefloor.Whether playing vinyl or digital, Maurdikai brings the same mindset: know your music, stay present, and respond to the energy in front of you.For this workshop, he will guide students through the basics of vinyl DJing with a focus on confidence, respect for the medium, and hands-on learning. by @red.cnx

‼️Q-Bert Australia, New Zealand & Asia Tour update! ‼️Q's having an amazing tour so far - apologies to the KL Crew, unfortunately we couldn't get work permits on time. Dont worry, we are working on the next tour already so Q will be with you soon. We have added a Workshop in Bangkok on Thursday April 30th at OFF THE MAP.
