Honest thoughts, I’m a little nervous to post this, and I’ll probably delete it in a couple of days. But I’ve been wanting to reconnect with a passion of mine: storytelling and connecting with chefs. Back in Boston, I started a series called “A Chef Story” inspired by @thebearfx that completely changed how I viewed restaurants and filmmaking. I wanted to tell the stories behind the kitchens, the chefs, and the communities they serve. I’ve been in Florida for a little over a year now, and I’d love to bring that series back, exploring stories in St. Pete, Tampa, Orlando, and hell even Sarasota. My dream is to eventually develop this into a show. Will it happen? Who knows, it may not but sometimes you have to pursue an idea simply because it means something to you. To my Florida friends, do you know any chefs with a story worth telling or would be interested? I’d love to connect and see where this takes me. I have 6 episodes already made, 1 hotel brand story and 1 wine brand story. Also shoutout to everyone I have worked with. You have all been apart of my chapter in pushing myself creatively. . I recently had the opportunity to make a short documentary for @legendsguitarstampa in Tampa. What I liked about working on this project was getting to spend time around the people, instruments, and history that make the shop what it is. There’s a lot of character behind a place like Legends. Really enjoyed putting this one together and getting to tell a small part of their story. . . . Shot w/ @lumix / @lumix_creators_backstage Cameras: Lumix S1II, S1IIE by @reelenvision

@quicksandwine is a neighborhood natural wine bar in Orlando’s Mills 50 area, owned by Heather LaVine, who also owns Golden Hour Wine in Baldwin Park. But Quicksand is about more than just wine. Heather created the space as a place for people to gather, connect, and become part of the community. Her story of moving from NY to Orlando, building her businesses, and creating spaces that bring people together is what makes Quicksand so special. Thanks for letting me tell your story Heather! . . .
