Solid couple days mixing monitors for @accqldnt state conference. Big thanks to @moderntechnic.ptyltd for having me ! by @reidwwall
And now for some more lighthearted moments from our Asia trip….. group check in was funny in CEBU. This is a lot of what happens on an Asia run where every worship night is a fly date. Find bags. Line them up. Count. Process the carnet, go to hotel and venue…. We managed to laugh a LOT along the way. When in Singapore!!!! 1 day off in 16 days….. So we explored some of the F1 track on push bikes. This was genuinely terrifying. lol @lukeawebb Great seeing my friend @ekamutty ! Long time ago we were the guitarists in a Hillsong college trip through Indonesia ! @lukeawebb being a total boss. The epitome of leadership and servant hood. Blessed to know him! Dudes ability to manage us all was unreal. Gonna have to think for myself when I get home ! I’ll be honest. This made me a little nervous. We sent Ian a photo of his console, but has Claude break one of his screens! Things you can buy at a 7/11 in Manilla ! Ground transport had karaoke, with AI arrangements of songs on our list….. More from the local 7/11 When the main left and right are hung VERY differently. What could this be ?!?! Hint: it was wrapped in BULK BUBBLE WRAP! MY CONSOLE. It worked too! @soak3s supervising @aitkenphil as he trouble shoots a bunch of dodgy stage cores. by @reidwwall
Hillsong Worship Nights : Asia 26 THE TEAM Not sure what to say….. other than I am humbled at the opportunity to be part of it, along side a pretty incredible group of people. I really love being in a room full of people who show up with passion and expectancy to worship Jesus together. I love pushing up the room mics each night and hearing the voices of thousands of people singing together in unity. It’s always so special. Meanwhile, I was encouraged by the people I served alongside. Each of them incredibly skilled in their own right….. but beyond that…… We often say we value servant leadership….. Each day I witnessed this from every single member of the team - serving each other so that together we can serve the congregation. From loading and unloading each other’s bags, to tweaking sounds so they better fit each moment, or simple words of gratitude and encouragement. Leading worship is a team sport, and I am proud of the spirit our whole team carried the whole trip. It was also really special getting to know and serve alongside a bunch of our LONDON crew! Great people!! Good photos by @therealcalebbutler or @hvddo. Mediocre photos by me. The crew…… What an incredibly talented group of people. A trip like this could have been ROUGH, but, our TM and PM did such a great job on the advance. Despite some interesting challenges along the way - we had what we needed to deliver each night. HUGE EFFORT that I am super grateful for ! TM : @lukeawebb PM : @aitkenphil FOH : @justinarthur01 MON : 👋 LD : @ianhendrick VIDEO : @chadkeating STAGE : @soak3s I love that we all pray together each night. Just like church at home. 🔥🔥🔥 All bangers. All around. Consistency is a BIG DEAL in touring….. So glad we were able to carry our own @dpa_microphones 2028 capsules !!!! NIGHT 1: KL KL Monitors: Quantum 5, AD2 transmitters, and Spectera IEM. My left screen died on our rehearsal day….. just as we started sound check. Production company brought me a fresh one in time for the dinner break! 😂😂 NIGHT 2: SURABAYA The venue sure had unique character. @justinarthur01 was mixing from about the 5th row with a bunch of J Subs cranked to cover the back of by @reidwwall

HILLSONG CONFERENCE 2026! I think it’s #18 in the books for me! Caitie and I were again entrusted with leading the 2nd (“Hub”) Auditorium which ran in parallel to the main aud each night to get another 1200 people into conference. I think my highlight was seeing people from various campuses (who’d never met before) bond over the week and become a team who excelled and enjoyed serving together. Big thanks to our department leadership for setting us up for success. 1. Most of the production team! 2. Tyler Dougie came to visit us on the last night. 3. Selfie for our staff chat 4/5 FOH views 6. Monitor world 7. Video land - so grateful to @melvhuis coming down to volunteer as our camera director! The team loved her and her work is always impeccable! 8. Great having Emily (youth student from our campus) and Reuben each do a night on camera. 9/10. I’m so proud of Caitie. Creative pastor / producer for our room, and (fearlessly) MD’d a morning in the main aud. backpack Caitie is a favourite of mine! 11. Some of team BNE serving in our room. by @reidwwall
My first dive into the world of 3D printing……. Big thanks to @nicholashitchens for helping me! We made a surface mount housing for a streamdeck module! I wanted a tidy / subtle / small / cost effective solution for QSYS control of audio, the TV, and SDI router cross points in this space just off the side of our foyer/cafe…. A wall mounted iPad seemed silly for the number of controls required (and they have other annoyances!), and the QSYS touch panels are awesome but not cost effective for this application…. It’s a brick wall behind the wood paneling so we 3d printed a surface mount bracket for the new-ish streamdeck “module” and mounted the network dock on the back of the TV. I’ve already done a fair bit of QSYS control from companion so the control framework was a known quantity. Top left shows what will happen when you press the power toggle. If the TV is off, controls are hidden. Once on, you get volume, router cross points and access to a local (side) HDMI. I also did some extra cross points hidden behind a “press and hold” admin action that most users won’t need (yes I moved buttons around between pictures). On Sundays it’s all automated, so this is mostly used for the mid week stuff….. Shoutout to @jacobrichter and @rieckjordan who continually challenge me to improve my UX/UI on everything I do! by @reidwwall

YOUNG ADULTS SUMMERFEST 2026. // We felt like “if we’re gonna do our YA retreat in one of our buildings - we should make it feel REALLY different from Sundays”…. So we did!! // Big thanks to @andyheuser for collaborating with @caitiewall and I on this event - and trusting us to run with a whole new design and programming! We had some unconventional ideas to solve a few of the compromises that come with doing and event “on the round”… and I was really pumped with how it all came together. I’m passionate about the idea that our creative team are not just musicians and technicians - but rather we’re artists who create environments that lead people into the presence of God. —————————————————————————————— Big thanks to @hillsong.goldcoast for hosting the event! Big thanks to @jacobrichter and @rieckjordan for helping me with PA design and driving down to do the tune!! —————————————————————————————— SOOO MANY VOLUNTEERS to thank from Brisbane, Springfield, and the Gold Coast - we couldn’t do this without you NOR WOULD WE WANT TO! —————————————————————————————— TEAM LEADS: Creative Pastor @caitiewall Event PM & Video Tech: 👋 Campus PM : @leetester Campus Operations : @alidegouv Audio Lead : @kaigan1992 Lighting Director : @jackpearceproductions —————————————————————————————— PHOTOS: 1: Opening Night 2-3:Vectorworx Design Renders 4: @jasonhso is an elite YA pastor. Brought a crew of people to setup and pack down staging and chairs. 5-6: Rehearsals 7: @jasmine__johnson preaching opening night 8-10: Worship was really epic! 11: I built a “last for the weekend” drum lid. I was legit scared we might end up on “worship fails”…. But IT HELD UP! 12: Monitor World and Drums —————————————————————————————— TECHNICAL: Just about everything was the existing in house rig. We reconfigured the stage to the middle of the room. We hired in PA - 16x Q SUB, 4x Q10, and 4x Q7. Projection was a pair of Epson 12K Laser projectors straight onto a curved, dark grey wall. Hired 8x LED fresnels as front wash + some “colour rangers” for colour over stage + some Titan Tubes. by @reidwwall
