Another jazz concert solo!! This Is Along Came Betty by the great Benny Golson, by far the hardest tune I’ve soloed over. It’s so rewarding to listen back on this and hear all the work that went into it. #jazz #jazzsax #tenorsax #music #bennygolson by @reillycmusic

First college jazz concert done!!! Here’s my solo over Sammy Nestico’s Pressure Cooker. #universityofdelaware #jazz #tenorsax #jazzsax #music by @reillycmusic

A little wobbly near the end, but oh well.
College has been crazy, scales and etudes and theory and whatnot. So, I thought I’d return to the music I love the most for a little bit. That’s all! :) #jazz #jazzsax #tenorsax #benwebster #music by @reillycmusic

Me performing “My One and Only Love” at an open mic event!! #jazz #jazzsax #tenorsax #jazzvocal #singing by @reillycmusic

Another angle of my solo on Tell Me Something Good, courtesy of @clairebreedlove!! I’m just really proud of my stylistic choices here and my phrasing, even though it’s pretty short. #jazz #jazzsax #steviewonder #jazzimprovisation #funk by @reillycmusic

Finished transcription of Ben Webster’s “In The Wee Small Hours Of The Morning” with Oscar Peterson.

Ignore how spitty I got there in the middle. This was at least my sixth take so I figured what the hell, everything else sounds pretty good.

Cutting up on some Tenderly. Working on altissimo, small fills in empty space, vibrato in higher register, etc. also just trying to post more on here lol

In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning - Ben Webster. Transcribed by my ears lol
Still a little hiccups occasionally, and still a long way to go— but I’ve already learned a lot from the work I’ve done so far.
