What we did on a rainy day ☔️

Bible verses I cling to as a mum 🤎

Motherhood is one of the greatest gifts God has given me, but it has also shown me just how much I need Him.

Some days, I feel like I’m getting it right. Other days, I need His grace, His wisdom and a little more patience than I seem to have. 😅

These are three verses I come back to, especially on the days when motherhood feels like a lot.

📖 Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength.”

For the days I feel tired, stretched and in need of strength that can only come from God.

📖 James 1:5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.”

For the moments I don’t know what to say, how to respond or whether I’m making the right decisions for my boys.

📖 Colossians 3:23 “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord.”

A reminder that even the little things the school runs, the meals, the corrections, the cuddles, the prayers whispered over my boys matter to God.

I’m learning that I don’t have to be a perfect mum. I just want to be a present one, a prayerful one, and a mum who keeps pointing her boys back to Jesus.

Because so much of motherhood happens in the hidden places, where nobody claps or even notices. But God sees. And that is enough to keep me going. 🤎

Mums, what Bible verse do you hold on to in this season of motherhood?

🤎 Day 14 of my 31-Day Plank Challenge for Cancer Research Uk

I’m finally bringing my October Plank Challenge to Instagram!

I started this challenge hoping to raise £150 for Cancer Research UK, in memory of my big sister Tedje and for everyone who has faced, is facing or has been affected by cancer.

I honestly didn’t expect to reach my fundraising target within just a few days. 🥹 To everyone who has donated, shared my page, sent an encouraging message or said a prayer, thank you. You’ve reminded me that even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference.

But we’re only on Day 14, and there’s still a long way to go until Day 31. ❤️

Cancer has touched so many lives, including my own family. I’m doing this in the hope that the money raised will help fund research, improve treatments and give more families precious time with the people they love.

If you’re seeing my challenge for the first time, I’d love for you to be part of it. If you’re able to donate, every contribution counts. If you can’t donate, sharing this reel or sending it to someone else helps too. There’s absolutely no pressure, just an invitation to support a cause that means so much to me.

Let’s see how much more we can raise together. 🙏🏾🤎

With everything going on in the world, I understand why it’s easy to start thinking people are just terrible.
But I don’t want to live like that, I refuse to let the worst of people become all I see in people, It doesn’t mean I’m naive oh!! I just don’t want to spend my life suspicious of everyone, angry at everything or giving my energy to things that don’t deserve it.
I still believe there is so much good in people. I see it in little things kindness from strangers, people helping each other, someone choosing to be gentle when they could have been cruel.
Maybe that’s why I still enjoy life and keep that childlike way of interacting with people open, curious and willing to believe there is good in them until they show me otherwise and put pepper in my eyes 😂
Because I choose to look for the good too, There’s enough trying to convince us that kindness is dead. I’m choosing not to believe it.
And yes, I believe in peace. But never mistake a peaceful person for a powerless one, As the saying goes Never assume the person of peace is unskilled at war . by @relaxchoja
