The Art of Being a Good MC
Enhancing the Music

@remembermcconrad & @ltj_bukem talk about what makes a good MC, emphasizing the importance of delivering a meaningful message at the right time to enhance the music, rather than using it as a platform for self-promotion. We also discuss the challenge of knowing all tracks and the value of a consistent collaborator who understands the music’s flow.

This was one of our many excursion. Shambala 2023 you and Brian smashed it! We got lean dragged ourselves home about 6-7am put the heating on full blast and ate Jerry chicken and rice and peas and of course I had oxtail because I’m extra like that as you used to say!

Bwoooiiiiii Suhhhh!! Two years already since we laid you to rest, but grief doesn’t follow a timeline. The dust hasn’t settled, and some days it feels like it never will. What amazes me most is how many people still reach out, still ask about you, and still carry you in their hearts. I hope you’re watching over them all as it’s a beautiful thing.

You left a mark on so many lives, and that love continues long after you’ve gone. We miss you on every level imaginable. There’s a space in our lives that can never be filled, but there’s also a gratitude for having known and loved you. Forever missed, forever remembered.

Special mention: @joepeng_original for lining this night up 🏆

2 years flown by. Missed so much by so many but also encapsulated in time through memories, music and visuals.

Despite the ropey phone cam audio and Conrad preserving his energy for that night, you can still hear the soul and supernatural delivery of this timeless classic. Too good not to capture and very glad I did.

It’s been 3 years today since we lost a true legend in our scene and home community. @remembermcconrad you were our friend, a shiny mirror, and very much a team player. Today is a hard day for us and everyone that knew him and especially I would like to give a hug to @boogiedave who was a first corresponder when @ekto1 called us and felt something wasn’t right and rightfully reached out to his close friends and family. We gathered and took action that day. Together we decided on a wellness check. I am thinking of you all and especially Con who was a generous connector of likeminded souls. We miss you brother 🫶♥️🙏 #mcconrad as an aside and as a learning lesson please check on your friends if you get a feeling. by @planet.wax

Happy heavenly birthday @therealmcconrad ❤️🎤

I don’t know how many times I listen to this record and it still blows me away. It’s called Lean Upwards and this is the @makoto_humanelements remix.

Please correct me if I got any of the lyrics wrong, he really was one of a kind, no-one had his flow and his way with words!!

He was my first inspiration back when I was a kid and I I’m so blessed I got to know him before he passed away.

His legacy lives on in this music and continues to bring so much joy to so many people.
