To my younger self,

It’s okay now. You understand now. You didn’t know at the time that you were different. You didn’t know why you couldn’t be like everyone else. You were mostly shy but you always had the biggest personality and imagination. You thought you’d never live the moments you saw in your head. You didn’t see yourself as the pretty girl. You had ambition but it seemed no one around could speak your crazy little language. You only got to dance your heart out that one year. You thought moments like this would never come back around. Guess what? IT DID. But you’ll become so much more than you know. When you get older, people will call you weird, you won’t fit into many places. You’ll get into a little trouble at school just for existing it seems. A few people will break your heart and disappointment you. You will make mistakes. You’ll see days of depression. You’ll fail a few times and even lose yourself at some point. But guess what else? You’ll become someone you can be proud of. You’ll be unstoppable. You’ll win more trophies. You’ll be the ultimate comeback kid. So no, that won’t be the last time you’ll dance. And that won’t be the last time you feel like you can do anything! To my 8 year old self, you’re going to be okay! Everything will make sense and you’ll find out it was all for a purpose and you’ll be living that purpose and getting PAID just to be yourself after years of not knowing who you wanted to be. YOU DID THAT!!! You’re not scared anymore.. And you’re far from done. I love you Karena Avona.

💫Last weekend, ReNEWed Dance Ministry attended their first workshop of the year! Sooo excited about how these girls are growing as Ministers of Movement! We learned so much and received much needed impartation!

Thank you to Elder Valerie Adams and Wynn Chapel for having us! Such love & hospitality and the girls had fun! Soooo grateful for what will come from this connection!

We’re taking EVERY opportunity to train & prepare them for greater! MORE TO COME 🙌🏾🔥🧡🚀

💐💐💐THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE LOVE & LIGHT sent my way in celebrating another year of life🫶🏾

As a child, I heard hymns that moved me, though I didn’t yet understand. Now, I do and my feet are planted on every word:

“Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand”

Time is filled with swift transition,
naught of earth unmoved can stand;

✨One thing that remains true: it doesn’t matter how much you work out or go to the gym…what you eat makes the difference!

Y’all I’m such a foodie, but I’ve learned to eat to live… not live to eat! Sweets are my biggest craving, but over the years I’ve been able to reel it in lol.

There’s nooo perfection. But if you have a bad day, a bad weekend or even a bad week, don’t wait until the next day, make it right with the next meal.

If you don’t do ANYTHING else, start your day RIGHT! That first meal of the day really does set the tone. And it’s not just about the choices you make at home! Choose well when going out to eat or getting something to go!

Here’s a few of my recent choices!

Dear Dance Minister,

What you do MATTERS. You are the physical interpretation of the written Word of God and of the sound in Earth & Heaven.

You are a Worship Leader. You lead people into an intimate space that glorifies God. You are the demonstration of every praiser: the one who runs, the one who lifts the hands, claps, cries, leaps and kneels.

You pour out when there’s music and even when there’s not. You usher in God’s presence. You speak healing & deliverance without words. You encourage the dormant gift to come alive.

‼️You are the glue that holds Psalms 150 together‼️

The Revival around you begins within you. You are an Atmosphere Shifter. An Atmosphere Setter. You’re proof that God is limitless. Never take this for granted, even if others do. Stay planted. This is a privilege but also your birthright!
