After a Charleston ghost tour, you'll want two things: bright lights and a good drink.

@dineatlenoir is the perfect soft landing after a night of spooky stories. Pull up a seat, order something stirred or shaken, and trade notes on which story actually got you.

There's nothing like waking up to a crisp Charleston morning and knowing that coffee is only steps away from your room.

Take yours in your room, to go, or enjoy a leisurely walk on King Street - there's no wrong way to consume coffee. 😉☕

Happy International Chefs Day! 👨‍🍳 Today we're celebrating the person who leads the day-to-day operations at Lenoir, our Executive Chef, Chef Manny.

Chef Manny has spent 15 years in the culinary industry, and his path started in a classroom. While earning his hospitality degree, he took a required yearlong culinary class and discovered how much he loved to cook. Shortly after, he started his career at his first restaurant in Denver, Colorado, and he's been building on that passion ever since.

Along the way, Chef Manny learned from incredible mentors who shared their knowledge and helped him grow. Today he hopes to do the same for others, passing along everything he has learned to the next generation of cooks.

Here's a fun fact about him: Chef Manny comes from a truly international family. He has German heritage, his wife has Mexican heritage, his children are American, and he speaks three languages. That mix of cultures shapes how he thinks about food, at home and in the kitchen, and how a meal can really be such a unifying factor that brings so many together.

His experience, his heart for mentorship and his open perspective are exactly why @chefandthef felt he was the perfect fit to lead the kitchen at @dineatlenoir.

If you've enjoyed Chef Manny's cooking, drop a comment or give this post a like so we can share the love with him and the whole kitchen team.

If you're the one planning the company holiday party this year, here's a simple step flow from our events team to take a little pressure off.

Step 1:
Lock in your date now. The best Friday and Saturday nights in December tend to go first, so this is the month to reach out.

Step 2:
Settle on a guest count and the feel of the night, whether that's a cocktail reception with passed bites or a seated dinner.

Step 3:
Plan the menu and drinks. Our team will walk you through options and help you plan around any dietary needs.

Step 4:
Hold a block of rooms for anyone traveling in, so no one has to think about the drive home.

Step 5:
Show up and enjoy your own party while we take care of the details.

Our team at The Lindy hosts corporate gatherings and holiday parties through November and December, steps from King Street.

Email lindyrenaissancesales@aimbridge.com to check dates for your company gathering.

Charleston is often called one of the most haunted cities in America, and after three centuries of history, it's easy to see why. Here are five legends you'll hear on almost every ghost tour in town.

⛓️ THE OLD CITY JAIL
In use from 1802 to 1939, the jail held pirates, soldiers, and some of the city's most infamous prisoners. Legend says Lavinia Fisher, often called one of America's first female serial killers, spent her final days here.

🎭 THE DOCK STREET THEATRE
A woman in a red dress, said to be Nettie Dickerson, is reported to drift along the second floor of this historic theater as a lost soul who tragically lost her life due to a lightning strike.

🕯️ THE UNITARIAN CHURCH GRAVEYARD
Local lore connects this churchyard to a young woman named Anna Ravenel, and some say her story inspired Edgar Allan Poe's "Annabel Lee."

⚓ THE PROVOST DUNGEON AT THE OLD EXCHANGE
During the Revolution, the British held American patriots, thieves, pirates, and even political figures in the cellar, and visitors say that sometimes, when you take a photo, you can see spirit orbs floating around of the people who suffered here.

And we, of course, can't forget,

🏠 POOGAN'S PORCH
Diners and staff have long reported seeing Zoe St. Amand, a former resident of the house, looking out from the upstairs windows.

📌 Save this for your next tour night and see if you hear any of these famous stories.
