POSTS STORIES REELS

I used to enjoy bourbon in the evenings and weekends. Then 1.5yrs ago, things got kinda weird. I had to find a Canadian Whisky. My best friend had been a fan of @gibsonswhisky for many years, so I figured I would start there. I purchased my very first bottle of #gibsonsfinest12year and haven't looked back. I cant believe I waited so long to discover such a fine whisky.
@gibsonswhisky ... keep doing what you do. My favourite, and my "go to!"
Vive la Canada! Proud Canadian. Moving on.

My "office" this past Sunday afternoon. @kammerchorlondon performance of Handel's Messiah. And absolute outstanding concert that was executed wonderfully! Such immense talent on that stage, vocals, instrumentation and conducting! Well done!

When I record this choir, my go to setup at the conductors request, is a modified ORTF configuration. I use two @sennheiser #MK4 cardioids for the ORTF, and a matched pair of @neumann.berlin #KM183 omnis aimed at the audience for more atmosphere and room.

Original plan for this concert was to use all 8 channels on my @sounddevices #MixPre10II but there was a last minute change in the setup on stage, preventing me from doing more mics.

That said, I MUST give a shout out of thanks to Dennis at @sounddevices support! He helped me sort out some matrix routing issues i was having, as well as helping me out with my @wearenovation #launchcontrolxl (which I now didn't use in this smaller setup). Thank you so much for your patience and assistance!! I really appreciated it!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Sorry, only two photos today. Doing BTS photos for a commercial shoot, for @reuxagency @derek_lamoureux.
Started off at 0600hrs and the first location was all outside... 4.5hrs... with temperatures dropping each hour, plus windchill. Yeah, that sucked, but we are all professional and as always, everyone brought their "A" game to make sure the client gets the best result.
Wrapped shortly after 1900hrs.
Three locations. Actors. Makeup. And a whole gang of dedicated professionals.
Honored to be a part of this team from time to time. Thanks @derek_lamoureux for having me out!
And my trusted @leica_camera #sl2s and #Q2 performed as expected, without issue or concern, even in the harsh morning conditions!

Thanks once again @alhartshorntattoo for another great tattoo! This one was a cover up. Always a pleasure to sit in your chair, talk about music and movies and documentaries while you work your artistic magic! Best of everything at your new location at @addictivetattoo !

Another great use for my @matthewsgrip #infinityarm.
Shading my camera and I by holding my @orcabags umbrella!
Guerrilla shade construction lol. MacGyver!

Seriously though, my @matthewsgrip infinity arm kit is one of my most used pieces of my road kit. Whether I'm on set doing location audio, or working a festival doing camera op. I've found so many uses for this thing, AND it is solid as a rock!

I've operated camera at a lot of festivals over the years. And there are a LOT of amazingly talented female artists (Canadian female artists). But this past weekend, at @lucknowsmitf I had the pleasure of working with the queen... @sass.jordan! Such a super nice and friendly woman. It was great to meet you and chat with you, and to work your show.
Sass still "has it." And her band was terrific. A great set with all her hits.
Also, I had the chance to reconnect with an old friend, and Sass' tour manager and FOH tech Andrew White (2nd pic). Great seeing you again buddy!
Oh, and I hope @sarzo.rudy sees this post... as Sass was mentioning, something about "The Urinator" story? Lol

My job does not suck.

On this very date, 44 years ago, myself and 3 friends made our way to what was then called London Gardens, here in #londonontario to see, the man... @ozzyosbourne on his first solo tour, #blizzardofozz.

What a night. The music. The show. Finding a way home afterwards (that's a whole other story).
Ozzy, Randy Rhoades, Rudy Sarzo, and Tommy Aldridge! Holy shit!

I still have my shirt! Doesn't fit anymore. But I'll never part with it.

Thank you Ozzy for so many decades of great music, stories, and even laughter. The impact you made on so many is immeasurable. You helped bring so many new artists up through the ranks, showed them how it's done. Gave them a shot (bands and musicians). Mentored them. And that in turn gave us fans even more great music to love.

May you rest in peace now. You will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

Following up on my last post, here are some shots of some of my kit in action during a recent shoot for @underarmourca in #Kitchener with the @ohlrangers. Production company was @ilienferoproductions, such a great team of professionals! An absolute pleasure to work with these guys!
Just like Under Armour provides top quality clothing that gets results, same with my gear that I rely on. Pro gear... pro results!

So proud to have been a part of the production crew (location audio) on this, and other upcoming @underarmourca social media spots. The production team, agency, client, and of course, the @ohlrangers were all fantastic! Excited to share the next ones, once they are posted!

Congratulations to @harleysalamanca on his first public art gallery exhibition! A great guy, and super talented artist. And congratulations to all the other artists who were also represented at this event. The support of the community at this grand opening was terrific.

My office Monday night... working @jellyroll615 first ever Canadian concert! I was the stage left camera position. Best "seat" in the house, lol!

The entire team from @pashopproductions crushed it yet again. Audio, lights, back-line, crew, gear, professionalism. So proud and honored to be a part of such a dedicated team of professionals that always deliver the goods!

The Jelly Roll crew were also awesome! They were very professional, yet chill and really easy to work with. They were quite happy!

Thank you @jellyroll615 and crew (Jonesy, Mike, etc) for the opportunity to work together. Safe travels on the rest of the tour! Hope our paths cross again.

My job... does NOT suck.
