We invite community members, mental health professionals, advocates, neighbors, and every one in-between to join us as we remember Bobby, address and circulate mental health resources, and hold space for each other on World Suicide Prevention Day.

Feel free to share and invite anyone looking for community or resources.

Those who mourn victims of police violence are known to wear Black and silver ribbons, yellow for suicide awareness, purple and teal for suicide prevention and overdose awareness. Please bring a candle for our moment of silence.

Bobby's mom has shared that the media is welcomed as long as they're respectful.

Bobby was killed by police during a mental health crisis. This is not okay. We deserve better, every single day.

Anyone can run for an elected position.

We need transparency. We need actual change.
We are witnessing incredible actions of change OUTSIDE of Utah.
When is it our turn?
Let's hear from candidates. Let's support change makers who are running for elected positions. Let's hold candidates accountable for their promises they build during their candidacy.
Let's do it, together.

CommUnity wins 🫶🏾

Just sayin. by @reputah

They sure now how to make a small man feel large. You cannot join the US military with psychiatric disabilities to fight OTHER countries, but hey, on US soil, we ENCOURAGE SEVERE PSYCHIATRIC DISABILITIES to join ICE for a rewarding career. by @reputah

If you were loud about Charlie Kirk, but silent now, I see you. We all see you. by @reputah

People over party. I don’t care what your party is. This is fucked. by @reputah

Apparently, even with a permit, practicing your second amendment right is a dxxth sentence (unless of course you’re MAGA, proud boys, NRA, Jan 6 participants, don’t tread on me boys, white supremacists, pro- gun activists, 3 percenters) Never heard the words “domestic terrorism” thrown around more in my entire life. by @reputah

TOO MANY COOKS, BUT ONLY ONE KITCHEN!

THIS ISN’T ABOUT ME , ITS ABOUT YOU. JOIN THE MOVEMENT!

Welcome Friends!

Derek is a lifelong Utahn and small business owner. In 2013, he sued the Governor, making Utah the first state to legalize marriage equality. As a former Salt Lake City Council member and Utah State Senator, Derek fought for organized labor, workers rights, and equality. He fought to strengthen American jobs at the Export-Import Bank in Washington DC and is now ready to take his experience to Congress.

Derek has the grit of a champion. In 2013, his brother got diagnosed with cancer. His family received support from the CHIP Program. He’s been a teacher, experienced being unhoused, and now a local business owner!

He’s a champion that understands struggles like you and me. JOIN THE MOVEMENT TO ELECT A PROVEN PROGRESSIVE WHO HAS PASSED LEGISLATION. We’re uniting this city with a proven plan to make Utah healthy, affordable, educated and protected.

Join us in calling and emailing @midvalecity @midvalemarcus @govcox to see what changes they’re making to stop and change racial discrimination in Midvale.

This family has been harassed for 7 months and the police have not been willing to help. Now that there’s media attention, the police arrested Ms. Smith on Tuesday night on the same warrants she’s had the entire time she’s tormented this family. Ms. Smith was released Wednesday morning.

We encourage the community to ask our elected public officials why they’ve allowed this to go on for so long. How are they going to implement change to ensure this stops and doesn’t continue to happen in our community? She is protected because there’s no repercussions for hate speech. THIS MUST CHANGE. We need police reform. We need @midvalemarcus and @midvalecity to make change so this doesn’t keep happening. by @reputah
