Happy Halloween! 🎃 When I tell you I got nearly nothing from DragonCon, I mean it! So, enjoy the service hallways of the Hyatt hotel once again. I love being Roxie!

In honor of Sonic Expo returning to Atlanta this weekend, here is a look back at last year’s very first expo! I volunteered on a whim and, despite iterating multiple times that “I don’t go here” (Sonic fandom), ended up having a blast working with Guest Operations. The con itself was very nostalgic and brought me back to those good, wholesome vibes of early con days. I wish I could have volunteered again but it just wasn’t in the cards this year. Hopefully Sonic Expo being able to return & take over Cobb Galleria means there will be plenty of opportunities to do so again in the future ✨ To everyone attending this weekend, have a little extra fun for me! 🏃

First photo is by @blazebops 🫶 (I’ll make it to Mag someday I swear!!)

…yet you keep dressing up as superheroes who were explicitly created as anti-fascist propaganda, characters who protect innocent people, their rights, and their dignity over the desires of the authority.

…yet you keep platforming abusers, all while talking big game about the importance of community.

…yet you excuse problematic behavior in order to chase Internet clout.

You’re right - it’s your page, you can say whatever you want. Or not say anything at all. Just know that your silence speaks volumes.

You want true escapism? Go stick your head in the dirt.

Last Christmas I was gifted this super fun, femme Tokyo Revengers uniform. I have some more ideas to tie it more closely to certain characters, like restyling this blond wig into an half-updo with a white bow to represent Mikey and adding a dark wig into the lineup in memorium of my boy Baji, but overall this is a comfy cosplay you’ll probably be seeing a bit more of!

These were taken in the service hallways of the Hyatt after the @musclenerdzllc showdown on Thursday 💪 Trying to remember to take my own photos!!

‼️ Catch me at the Sonic Expo ‼️

That’s right! I’ll be working with Guest Relations at the Sonic Expo! I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a Sonic fan, but I do have many fond memories of playing Sonic Heroes on my GameCube. I’m excited to step outside of my usual Technical Operations niche to do something new! Catch me there (if you can) 🏃

👊 I will get back up as often as it takes, and each time, I won’t be beaten 👊

I haven’t brought Maki back in 2025. Do you think I should fix that? 🤔

⭐️ 𝓜𝔂 𝓕𝓲𝓽𝓷𝓮𝓼𝓼 𝓖𝓸𝓪𝓵𝓼 ⭐️

When my first trainer asked me what my goals were, I only had one answer to give: to feel powerful.

I don’t chase an aesthetic, I chase a feeling. And while I can’t say I’m unhappy with the way my body has evolved to look, it isn’t what drives me. The gym gave me power when I felt powerless. That is something I have a hard time putting into words. The gym has also given me friends & community, a likeminded space where we are all pushing to be the best we can be.

Sometimes I get discouraged when my body doesn’t meet some arbitrary societal standard, but all it takes is a quick look back through where I’ve been and suddenly, my vision is clear.

So if you ever find yourself feeling low, you don’t want to take that picture or record that video - do it anyway. You’ll be glad you did.
